Arthur Hayes is the CEO and co-founder of BitMEX coin trading platform and crypto expert. Hayes’ opinions given in the news are often related to the current state and the future of Bitcoin. 
Hayes has a degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business. Prior to developing interest in the cryptocurrencies, Hayes worked as the equity derivatives trader and a marketer for various renowned banks. Ultimately, his knowledge of financial derivatives prompted him to try to combine his expertise with the emerging cryptocurrency technology.
Hayes has earned a reputation of being a bitcoin bull. In 2018, he caused much controversy by claiming that Ether is a shitcoin, drawing the backlash from the ETH community.
