Arbitrum is one of the largest Ethereum Layer-2 networks, holding over $2.6 billion in total value locked. Once seen as poised for immense growth as developers flocked to Ethereum, it appears to have lost some momentum, with its price dropping considerably over the past year. But as the price of ARB has started to recover over the past month, could this be the beginning of a new cycle?

In our Arbitrum price prediction, we’ll take a closer look at ARB and explore its price potential in 2025 and up to 2030.

Arbitrum Coin Price Prediction 2025–2030

Here are the key things to take away from our Arbitrum price prediction:

  • Our real-time ARB to USD price chart gives the current Arbitrum price as $0.37 on May 9, 2025.
  • Arbitrum has a market cap of $1.80B, making it the 2nd-most valuable Ethereum Layer-2 protocol, second only to Mantle.
  • We predict ARB has a higher potential than its current price, and will reach $0.41 by December, then rise even further to a price of $0.43 by the end of 2026.
  • We forecast gradual growth for Arbitrum as Ethereum Layer-2s become increasingly important. We predict a price of $0.63 by the end of 2030.

Here’s our full Arbitrum price prediction for 2025–2030:

Year Average Price Potential Low Potential High
2025 $0.37 $0.34 $0.41
2026 $0.43 $0.40 $0.45
2030 $0.63 $0.49 $0.80

Arbitrum Price Prediction 2025

The price of arb logoARB +13.99% is poised to grow as the Arbitrum platform continues innovating and expanding its use cases. As one of Ethereum’s leading Layer-2 solutions, it offers scalability and low fees, attracting developers and users alike. And with crypto markets heating up, Arbitrum is well-positioned to transform its upturn over the past month into a year-long rally.

While the value of the ARB token isn’t directly linked to transaction volume on Arbitrum (ARB functions primarily as a governance token), we think its value will be strongly correlated with growing use cases of Arbitrum. ARB token holders can vote on how the DAO treasury is used, which means that ARB token holders could decide to distribute funds to token holders in the future.

A recent DAO vote has seen the Arbitrum Foundation allocate $11.6 million from its treasury to bolster its Real World Assets (RWA) strategy, with the aim of integrating tangible assets like real estate and commodities into its blockchain ecosystem. This move underscores Arbitrum’s commitment to expanding decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and enhancing the utility of its Layer-2 network through real-world asset tokenization.

Arbitrum Competitors

Arbitrum faces competition from other Ethereum Layer-2 networks, including Optimism, Base, Polygon, and Mantle. Dozens more Layer-2 networks are expected to launch in the next 1-3 years, but Arbitrum’s size gives it an edge for attracting more developers and users.

The growth potential behind Arbitrum could reignite the ARB token and help it rally again. At the moment, we remain cautious and predict the price will rise, but may encounter resistance at $0.41. However, if the recent developments and investments start paying off, ARB could produce a breakout performance before the end of 2025.

In the current state, here’s how we expect Arbitrum’s token value to grow in the following months:

MonthPotential LowAverage PricePotential High
June 2025$0.38$0.38$0.38
July 2025$0.38$0.39$0.39
August 2025$0.38$0.39$0.40
September 2025$0.39$0.40$0.41

Arbitrum Price Prediction 2026

Among top Ethereum Layer-2s, Arbitrum is at the top of the food chain, and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon. In fact, we predict that the largest Layer-2 solutions on Ethereum will become more dominant over time.

As the 2nd-largest Layer-2 network on Ethereum, its TVL of over $2.6 billion accounts for a substantial portion across all Layer-2 chains. If more developers, traders, and crypto users switch from using the Ethereum mainnet to Layer-2 chains, we think Arbitrum is well-positioned to benefit from this influx.

That’s thanks not only to Arbitrum’s size, speed, and scalability, but also to the fact that Arbitrum has multiple networks available for specific purposes, and continues to expand its use cases and reach. In addition to its early-stage protocols like Orbit and Nitro, its ongoing commitment to funding a wide range of DeFi initiatives further strengthens its position in the Layer-2 ecosystem.

With that in mind, the price of ARB is set for more growth in 2026 if it keeps up with the development rate of its competitors. It was once already the largest Ethereum Layer-2 protocol and could reclaim this title again, but if it doesn’t, its price may grow at a more modest rate, reaching the $0.45 level by the end of 2026.

Arbitrum Price Forecast Long-Term Outlook: 2027–2030 Predictions

We continue to be carefully optimistic on Arbitrum through the end of the decade. If the crypto market charges into another bull run in the final years of the decade, we think Arbitrum could challenge for the largest Layer 2 player on the market and become the go-to Layer 2 solution for developers building on Ethereum.

However, a drop in activity may slow user growth and developer engagement, leaving room for competitors like Optimism or Mantle to gain ground or pull ahead. With innovation moving at a breakneck pace across all Layer-2s, Arbitrum must keep evolving or risk falling behind in this highly competitive landscape.

Arbitrum (ARB) Future of Ethereum

If Arbitrum hits all development goals and continues delivering results that outshine the competition, it should, at the very least, secure a price of $0.80 by 2030. However, a bleaker scenario could see ARB lose contact with the fastest-growing protocols; but even if this happens, the return on investment by the end of the decade should yield at least 67.88%.

Here’s our full ARB price forecast for 2026-2030:

  • 2027: $0.48
  • 2028: $0.53
  • 2029: $0.58
  • 2030: $0.63

Potential Highs & Lows of Arbitrum

It’s important to remember that the crypto market is heavily affected by macroeconomic trends that are out of the control of ARB token holders. So, we’ve developed high and low predictions for Arbitrum for each year from 2025 and up to 2030 to account for this uncertainty:

Year Average Price Potential Low Potential High
2026 $0.43 $0.40 $0.45
2027 $0.48 $0.43 $0.54
2028 $0.53 $0.45 $0.63
2029 $0.58 $0.47 $0.72
2030 $0.63 $0.49 $0.80

Our Arbitrum Price Prediction Methodology

Our ARB price prediction is based on a combination of technical analysis for short-term forecasting and fundamental analysis for forecasts beyond 2025. To analyze Arbitrum’s price potential in 2025, we considered Arbitrum’s current price momentum and distance from its all-time high.

For long-term forecasts, we considered Arbitrum’s position as the dominant Layer-2 network on Ethereum and conditions around growth in Ethereum development. We also considered macroeconomic factors that could impact the crypto market overall, including the adoption of crypto by new users.

Arbitrum Price History

Arbitrum launched with an airdrop to users on March 23, 2023. The token was initially priced at $8.67 but fell almost immediately to $1.16 as a result of airdrop recipients selling their tokens for a profit. With the crypto winter ongoing, the price of ARB fell to a low of $0.78 by mid-October.

Arbitrum began to mount a comeback in December 2023 as trading volumes picked up, in part because of a renewed frenzy around meme coins. In mid-January 2024, ARB set an all-time high of $8.67.

However, Arbitrum has suffered heavy losses since mid-March. The ARB token fell from $2.12 to $0.37 on May 9, 2025 in a nearly unbroken bearish trend.

Despite a promising upturn at the end of 2024, the appreciation proved short-lived. Arbitrum continues to trade below its highest valuations, and now has a market cap of $1.80B. Nevertheless, ARB remains the 2nd-most valuable Ethereum Layer-2 token, and is still among the 50 largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Where Does Arbitrum Trade?

Arbitrum’s ARB token is available to trade on all major exchanges, including Binance, Coinbase, OKX, ByBit, Kraken, and Gate.io, and is available on nearly all Ethereum-based decentralized exchanges, including Uniswap and SushiSwap. It’s also listed in the Best Wallet app.

What Do Other Analysts Predict for Arbitrum?

We’ll take a look at what other Arbitrum price predictions are and evaluate how they compare against our own forecast.

CoinCodex predicts that ARB could jump to $0.89 by the end of 2025, and continue to gain value throughout the rest of the decade, ending 2030 at $1.484275, which is more optimistic than or own prediction.

CoinCodex

Changelly predicts that ARB will rise to $0757 by the end of 2025, and will achieve bullish outcomes in each following year, until reaching as high as $4.74 by 2030, which we believe may be too optimistic.

Changelly

AMB Crypto relied heavily on technical analysis to predict a price of $0.38 for ARB by the end of 2025, which is much more in line with our prediction. The platform also predicted a price of $0.84 by the end of 2030, in line with our bullish forecast.

What Is Arbitrum?

Arbitrum is the 2nd-largest Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum. It uses optimistic roll-ups to bundle transactions and verify them together, reducing strain on the Ethereum mainnet and enabling transactions to be processed with much lower fees.

Arbitrum isn’t just one chain, but a collection of several blockchains that offer varying degrees of speed, scalability, and security for different applications. As of May 9, 2025, the entire Arbitrum ecosystem has around $2.62 billion in total value locked.

What is Arbitrum (ARB)

The ARB token is a governance token for the Arbitrum project. It gives token holders a vote on changes to the Arbitrum protocol as well as control over how the Arbitrum treasury is deployed. ARB can also be used to transfer value among different chains within the Arbitrum ecosystem.

What Gives ARB Value?

ARB is not used to pay transaction fees on Arbitrum; instead, fees are paid in Ethereum to increase cross-compatibility. This means that the value of ARB is not exactly tied to increasing use of the Arbitrum network, but derives from its governance features, which include the ability to direct how the Arbitrum treasury is used. As the treasury grows, ARB is expected to become increasingly valuable.

Is Arbitrum a Buy?

Our Arbitrum price prediction for 2025–2030 is on the conservative side, but still suggests ARB should appreciate by 67.88%. However, if everything falls into place, Arbitrum has the potential to be one of the strongest long-term cryptos, especially if it can maintain its position as the top Layer-2 solution on Ethereum.

While we think a turnaround in Arbitrum’s price may have already started, it’s important to keep in mind that ARB has had strongly bearish momentum at the beginning of 2025. So, investors should be cautious about entering a position in ARB in case the recent upswing doesn’t develop into a long-term trend.

Conclusion

Our ARB price forecast indicates that Arbitrum will trade around $0.37 throughout 2025 and rise to $0.63 by the end of 2030. As it plays a central role in making Ethereum more usable and scalable, Arbitrum has the potential to reestablish itself as a dominant force in the Layer-2 network landscape for years to come.
