Former Estonian Prime Minister Joins Blockchain Centre Vilnius Board

Former Estonian prime minister and former leader of the Estonian Reform Party, Taavi Rõivas, has joined the Board of Blockchain Centre Vilnius in an effort to help connect Lithuanian and Estonian blockchain stakeholders, according to the Centre’s press release.

Rõivas is planning to become an active member of the Board, planning on helping establish a partner Blockchain Centre in Estonia. In the press release, he said that his ambition was to promote the Baltic region and its potential for the industry, adding that, “I am joining the Board of Blockchain Centre Vilnius to ensure active synergy between Lithuanian and Estonian blockchain technology stakeholders both in public and business sectors.”

Eglė Nemeikštytė, CEO of the Vilnius centre, said that Rõivas will add “tremendous value” to the centre, because “small countries like Lithuania and Estonia have to work together in order to strengthen our positions in the global markets.”
