Donald Trump Jr. made a guest appearance at DeFi World on Wednesday in Denver, appearing via livestream to discuss the vision and mission of World Liberty Finance.

In his address, Trump Jr. painted a picture of a financial future where decentralized finance (DeFi) and traditional finance (TradFi) converge to create a unified system that democratizes access to liquidity for all.

He emphasized that the primary goal of World Liberty Finance is to bridge the long-standing gap between conventional financial institutions and the innovative world of blockchain technology, ultimately providing underserved communities with the tools they need to participate in a fairer financial ecosystem.

“The problem that we have seen in Washington DC for the last few decades is that the people who actually get to make decisions are oftentimes people who know nothing about the subject [crypto] that they’re writing the laws about…they’ve just been there longer,” said Trump Jr.

“I think that the regulatory framework has to be guided by people that know what they’re actually doing,” adds Trump Jr.

Throughout the livestream, Trump Jr. shared personal anecdotes from his own experiences in both the financial world and politics, highlighting the undemocratized nature of traditional finance. He argued that many people have been excluded from mainstream financial opportunities due to systemic barriers, and stressed the importance of creating a system where transparency and accessibility are at the forefront.
