On a day where major cryptos remained subdued close to weekly lows, traders instead turned to on-chain DEX markets in their hunt for top crypto gainers today.

That’s because the cryptos trading on DEXs on blockchains like Ethereum and Solana are usually very illiquid.

And that means that a relatively small amount of buy or sell pressure can result in big price swings.

On-chain DEX markets have a strong appeal to traders, given stories of traders posting 100x or more gains and getting rich from a small investment.

But readers must remember that these occurrences are exceedingly rare.

But its liquidity is less than 10% of its market cap at $440,000.

A small amount of sell pressure could trigger a big reversal. MF also has a 5% buy-and-sell tax.

The top crypto gainer today worth mentioning is Screaming Rubber Chicken (SRC), which has been enjoying strong price action today.

Per DEXScreener, the Solana meme coin was last up nearly 2,000% in the past 24 hours.

Its market cap was still a modest $1.2 million, with $2.2 million in 24-hour trading volumes.

DEXScreener’s security audit finds no concerning aspects to its smart contract.

The token also appears popular in the trading community. It has 427 rocket ship emoji upvotes to just 41 red flag votes on DEXScreener.

Finally, $OCCER token is up 1,277% on DEXScreener, its market cap surpassing $800,000.

But this shitcoin has barely $80,000 in liquidity.

Traders must remember the high risks involved in trading these types of cryptos.

Almost none will retain any long-term value.
