While PI remains sidelined in the “best crypto to buy” conversation, Dr Altcoin believes that ecosystem developments around Consensus 2025 could be pivotal to the Pi coin price outlook.

Risk-on sentiment has returned following de-escalations in the US-China trade war and Trump’s concession to the Fed, yet PI has seen just a 6% gain for the week, while others break double-digits.

A surge may well be in the cards for PI Coin, following the breakout of a descending channel that’s been forming since its mainnet launch rally.

The channel’s projected target sits near $1—a potential 60% gain from current levels—but the post-breakout has faltered, leaving Pi range-bound.

The Pi coin price has since slipped into a symmetrical triangle, now approaching its confluence zone, where a renewed breakout may be imminent.

It’s a plausible scenario, with the MACD line maintaining its lead above the signal line, signalling dominant buying pressure—though the balance remains fragile as both lines run nearly parallel.

A slight disruption could trigger a triangle breakdown, eyeing past support around $0.40.

Still, Dr Altcoin points to potential near-term catalysts: the Pi Core Team’s purchase of tokens from centralized exchanges to stabilize price, and a rumored HTX listing.
