Republican nominee Donald Trump and current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris are running neck-and-neck as their 2024 U.S. presidential election campaigns near their final moments, with voters set to cast ballots on Tuesday, according to final national polls.

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in Tight Race as Election Day Nears

A November 3 poll from The New York Times and Siena College shows Trump ahead in Arizona, a critical swing state, while also reversing Harris’ earlier gains in Pennsylvania.

Harris, however, maintains a lead in several battleground states, including Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia.

National polling aggregator 538 places the candidates within a ninth of a percentage point, with Harris holding a slight lead as of Monday morning.

On decentralized prediction market Polymarket, bettors currently favor Trump over Harris by 58.7% to 41.8%.

Concerns over the site’s credibility emerged recently after allegations that a user, “Freddi9999,” held a substantial stake in election bets, raising questions about potential market manipulation.

An October 30 Fortune report alleged that a large portion of Polymarket’s presidential polls were affected by wash trading—a practice intended to artificially inflate a financial asset’s appeal.

The Shayne Coplan-led site has since denied all market manipulation claims, pledging to verify user locations as part of its response.

Trump and Harris Vie for Crypto Voters Ahead of Election Day

News of the final 2024 U.S. presidential polls comes less than 24 hours ahead of Election Day, with Harris leading among early voters in several swing states.

Trump, on the other hand, is expected to outperform Harris among voters “highly likely to vote but have not yet cast a ballot,” according to The New York Times and Siena College’s latest poll.

Trump and Harris have both been appealing to crypto enthusiasts in recent weeks as they aim for the Oval Office.

Trump has been a vocal advocate of crypto throughout his campaign, vowing to enact crypto-friendly regulations and to fire United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler should he reclaim the presidency.

During the September 2024 launch of his family’s crypto platform, World Liberty Financial, Trump warned, “If, for some reason, bad things happen and we don’t win the election, those who are free as a bird right now in the crypto world could face scrutiny the day after the election if they win.”

Harris has also pledged to establish a balanced digital asset regulatory framework if she wins on Tuesday.
