Bitcoin Smashes Key Resistance, Ethereum and Altcoins Jump
- Bitcoin price surged above the USD 20,500 resistance.
- Ethereum surpassed the USD 1,700 barrier, XRP broke the USD 0.35 resistance.
- ATOM, OKB, and RVN are up over 20%.
Bitcoin price gained pace above the USD 20,500 resistance. BTC is currently (11:20 UTC) up over 8% and trading near USD 21,000. Any more gains might send the price towards the USD 21,500 resistance zone.
Similarly, most major altcoins are eyeing more upsides. ETH was able to clear the USD 1,700 resistance zone. XRP is up 5% and trading above the USD 0.35 resistance. ADA might climb above the USD 0.50 resistance zone.
Bitcoin price
After a close above the USD 20,000 level, bitcoin price started a steady increase. BTC climbed above the key USD 20,500 resistance zone to move into a positive zone. It opened the doors for more gains and the price even spiked above USD 21,000. An immediate resistance is near the USD 21,200 level. The next major resistance is near the USD 21,500 level, above which the price could gain bullish momentum.
On the downside, an initial support is near the USD 20,500 level. The next major support is near the USD 20,000 zone, below which the price could start a fresh decline.
Ethereum price
Ethereum price remained in a positive zone above the USD 1,650 level. ETH gained over 4% and traded above the USD 1,700 resistance. The next major resistance is near USD 1,720, above which the price may perhaps test USD 1,750. Any more gains might start a move towards the USD 1,800 level.
On the downside, an initial support is now near the USD 1,675 level. The next major support is USD 1,650, below which price could revisit USD 1,620.
ADA, BNB, SOL, DOGE, and XRP price
Cardano (ADA) is trading above the USD 0.48 resistance. The price is now approaching the USD 0.50 resistance, above which it could gain bullish momentum.
BNB is trading above the USD 288 resistance. It is up over 4% and approaching the USD 295 level. The next major resistance is USD 300, above which the price might test USD 305.
Solana (SOL) is up over 6% and there was a move above the USD 35 resistance. If there are more upsides, the price might soon test the USD 36.50 resistance zone.
DOGE is gaining pace above the USD 0.062 resistance. The next major resistance sits near the USD 0.0635 level, above which the price may perhaps rise revisit the USD 0.065 resistance zone.
XRP price climbed higher and broke the USD 0.35 level. The next major resistance might be near the USD 0.365 level, above which the price could test USD 0.38. The main resistance is now near USD 0.40.
Other altcoins market today
Many altcoins are rising steadily, including DOT, MATIC, ETC, UNI, LINK, LUNC, BCH, ATOM, OKB, BAT, and RVN. Out of these, RVN rallied over 20% and cleared the USD 0.043 level.
To sum up, bitcoin price is accelerating higher above the USD 20,500 level. If BTC settles above USD 21,000 and USD 21,200, it could easily rise towards the USD 22,000 resistance zone in the near term.
