Whilst most major cryptocurrencies remain lower in the past 24 hours, the market is attempting a rebound on Thursday, low cap shitcoins $PORK2, $SOUTH and $PORK are the top crypto gainers today on DEXTools.

Blue chip cryptocurrency markets dipped on Wednesday following a hawkish Fed policy announcement.

While the Fed left interest rates unchanged at 5.25-5.5%, Fed Chair Powell argued a March rate cut would be unlikely.

Given investors had been pricing a good chance of a rate cut in March, this weighed on market sentiment.

Bitcoin (BTC) subsequently fell briefly as low as the $41,800s.

But it has since rebounded by around $1,000, shrugging off stronger-than-expected US ISM Manufacturing PMI numbers.

That’s because, while a Fed rate-cutting cycle might not start as soon as some traders want, its definitely coming.

Investors are still betting that rate cuts start by May, with macro likely to remain a strong tailwind in 2024.

While major cryptos like Bitcoin and Ether (ETH) struggle to get into the green, some shitcoins are outperforming.

Small-cap cryptocurrencies almost always pumping and nearly always also take the mantle for the top crypto gainers each day.

That’s because their low level of liquidity means that relatively small buy pressure can easily result in fast exponential gains.

However, $PORK2’s market cap was still only a tiny $450,000 on Thursday, with just over $300,000 in liquidity.

While $PORK2 has a 99/99 DEXTscore, it may be a honeypot scam, so is probably best avoided.

DeepSouth AI ($SOUTH)

AI shitcoin DeepSouth AI ($SOUTH) is testing record highs on Thursday.

As per DEXTools, it was last up 97% on the day, making it one of the top crypto gainers today.

$SOUTH’s market cap was a solid $4.37 million, with locked liquidity of around $312,000.

The token has a solid DEXTscore of 99/99, while six smart contract issues has been identified.

PepeFork (PORK)

A newly launched Pepe Coin alternative called PepeFork (PORK) is pumping on Thursday.

$PORK was last up around 80% in the past 24 hours, as per DEXTools.

Its market cap is an impressive $276 million, though liquidity is a tiny $260,000.

Its DEXTscore is 99/99, and it has three concerning aspects to its token contract, as per DEXTools’ security audit.
