Crypto hedge fund Hermeneutic Investments recently posted job listings that promise retirement money after just five years of work for certain roles.

The fund said it is hiring a Director of Strategic Investment to provide daily research, brainstorming and advisory support to crypto projects. The role offers competitive compensation, reflecting the fund’s high profitability per researcher, and includes the attractive prospect of building retirement funds within a short period of just 5 years.

Additionally, it is also recruiting a Senior Discretionary Researcher, offering a similar lucrative retirement-level compensation for this role.

Crypto Hedge Fund Seeks Candidate to Prioritize High-Growth Crypto Projects

Hermeneutic Investments manages a crypto hedge fund using event-driven long/short strategies and high-frequency trading systems. Its partners appear to bring over a decade of experience in crypto trading. Despite being just 2 years old, the firm says it manages nine-figure assets and delivers 200% annualized returns.

The fund said it is seeking a candidate to develop a framework to prioritize and rank the many investment proposals they receive. It said that since the most lucrative deals are often time-sensitive, this role will help the team stay focused on high-priority projects daily and weekly.

Additionally, the candidate will serve as an intellectual counterpart, functioning like an ad-hoc investment committee, challenging biases and ensuring no critical opportunities are missed due to subjective decisions.

The fund is looking for a candidate with at least two years of full-time experience in the crypto ecosystem. This experience should include in-depth research into cryptocurrency’s technical aspects, either as a developer or through roles at research firms or crypto exchanges.

High-Paying Crypto Role Focuses on DEX, Stablecoins and Future Web3 Expansion

The selected member will lead all initial contacts and meetings, focusing on market-making and venture capital opportunities. This role also includes managing detailed post-engagement advisory work often overlooked. Moreover, they will create strategies to save leadership time while identifying and prioritizing high-potential projects.

Initially, the focus will be on excelling in perpetual decentralized exchanges (DEX) and stablecoin markets. Over time, the scope will expand to include zero-knowledge proofs, NFTs, Web3 gaming, and infrastructure beyond trading and exchanges.

The fund’s high compensation offers come as Bitcoin has surged since early this month, fueled by Donald Trump’s election victory. Crypto investors anticipate reduced scrutiny, as Trump has pledged to replace US SEC Chair Gary Gensler with a more crypto-friendly regulator.
