Affyn, the Singapore team behind the upcoming new Metaverse world Nexus, has seen major success in both its private and presale funding rounds, bringing in close to USD 20million for the launch of the platform.

December 2021 and January 2022 have been exciting months for the team behind Nexus World, having secured the blockchain company funds to see the launch of this well-awaited Metaverse platform. The rounds were made up from a December private fundraising round, backed by around 50 investors, from venture capital firms, institutional investors and private investors, which raised over USD 7 million. The preceding presale then took place on a number of launchpads, which successfully generated around USD 10.4 million from 5700 within 60 hours of the presale open. The FYN token, the native token for Nexus World powers gameplay, the purchase of Buddy NFTs and Land sales across the Metaverse.

The Next Generation of Metaverse Gaming

Affyn have merged classic Metaverse gameplay with augmented reality geolocation play by mapping out the real world in a Pokemon-style world. In contrast, this platform leverages blockchain technology in order to reward its users in a play-to-win model. Additionally, users have the ability to self-sustain their income by leading out their Lands (NFTs which make up the world), by buying and selling their Buddy characters and accepting advertising and holding events on their own Land.

The Buddy characters will soon be launched for sale on the Affyn website. They can be purchased only with the native FYN token. These characters, which are represented by unique NFT tokens, can develop over time to increase their rarity and skills. Their individual properties give holders unique advantages over other Buddies when going to head-to-head PVP play, when entering quests and raids and they can also be trained to complete work and various activities.

Strong Confidence in Affyn’s Vision

According to the company founder and CEO, Lucaz Lee, “We would like to thank our partners, advisors, investors and community for the tremendous support and trust in Affyn. Our successful fundraising campaign signals strong confidence in the vision of Affyn’s Play-to-Earn Metaverse. 2022 will be unprecedented as we ignite the tech space by ushering in a new era of Metaverse. We will pioneer the first of its kind Play-to-Earn Metaverse that encapsulates the fabric of reality into a synthetic world where the notion of a real-world is represented by digital avatars, NFTs and assets. We would like to invite you to join us in this Metaverse where we can play, earn and have more fun together at the same time.”
