Bitpanda, a European digital asset platform based in Austria, has launched its Web3 suite, a platform designed to simplify users’ entry into the decentralized web.
The aim of the new suite is to make Web3 technologies accessible to a wider audience, from experienced crypto enthusiasts to newcomers, according to Bitpanda’s press release from Jan. 22, shared with CryptoNews.
“We are convinced that the future of the internet will be built on-chain,” said Eric Demuth, co-CEO and founder of Bitpanda, adding: “But just like with crypto in its early days, access is complex, unclear, and lacks a standard – until now. Bitpanda Web3 combines innovation with trust to enable everyone to access on-chain. This is our contribution to shaping a sustainable and inclusive future of the internet.”
Simplicity, security, and user-friendliness are core principles of Bitpanda Web3, according to the company.
Both will seamlessly integrate with the existing broker, ensuring a “smooth and user-friendly experience for depositing, investing, and withdrawing funds.”
Bitpanda’s Web3 initiative will feature two key components: a non-custodial smart wallet and a launchpad.
The launchpad, set to debut in Q3 2025, will offer early access to curated Web3 projects. It provides a “comprehensive end-to-end solution” for token issuers, including legal and development support
The wallet, launching in Q1 2025, simplifies access to decentralized applications (DApps). Users can easily deposit and withdraw funds, enjoy secure seed backups, and swap over 3,000 cryptocurrencies with a single click. A “Discover” section will highlight DeFi opportunities, and dedicated customer support will be readily available.
“Blockchain technology and the crypto industry have consistently demonstrated their potential. Web3 is the next step,” said Kahn, adding: “It’s a whole new way to experience and use the internet.”
Former German football star and seasoned crypto investor, Oliver Kahn, has been appointed as an ambassador for Bitpanda’s Web3 initiative.
These partnerships not only enhance Bitpanda’s brand visibility but also provide opportunities for customers, such as exclusive access to events and interactions with renowned players.
Beside partnering with Oliver Kahn, Bitpanda has previously strategically expanded its reach through collaborations with leading football clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, FC Bayern Munich, and AC Milan.
