Qatar đang tiến hành xây dựng khung pháp lý dành cho tiền điền tử, qua đó các tài sản kỹ thuật số sẽ được công nhận hợp pháp. Động thái này như một phần của chiến lược của quốc gia này trong việc thúc đẩy nền kinh tế kỹ thuật số của quốc gia.<\/p>

Trong một cuộc phỏng vấn gần đây, Giám đốc Dịch vụ Tài chính tại Trung tâm Tài chính Qatar (QFC) là Henk Jan Hoogendoorn, đã tiết lộ về việc Qatar đang thành lập khuôn khổ pháp lý vững chắc cho việc mã hóa nhiều loại tài sản trong thế giới thực, bao gồm cổ phiếu, các công cụ thị trường vốn vay nợ, các khoản đầu tư, trái phiếu Hồi giáo (Sukuk), và các lớp tài sản khác.<\/p>

\nNăm 2018, Qatar đã dứt khoát nghiêm cấm giao dịch Bitcoin; tuy nhiên, đã có sự thay đổi rõ rệt trong quan điểm của quốc gia này. Năm ngoái, các cơ quan quản lý tài chính của Qatar đã đề xuất một khung pháp lý để quy định việc đầu tư vào các token được đảm bảo bởi tài sản vật chất, đây là tín hiệu cho thấy sự gia nhập thận trọng vào thị trường tiền điện tử<\/a>. Động thái xảy ra muộn hơn so với các quốc gia lân cận như UAE và Bahrain.<\/p>

Cơ quan quản lý Trung tâm tài chính Qatar (QFCRA) và Cơ quan QFC (QFCA) đã cùng hợp tác để phát triển khung pháp lý các tài sản kỹ thuật số. Sáng kiến này hướng đến mục tiêu thúc đẩy chiến lược kinh tế kỹ thuật số Qatar và tăng cường thêm vài trò của QFC như một trung tâm kinh doanh và tài chính hàng đầu tại Trung Đông.<\/p>
