Hạ viện Hoa Kỳ đã thông qua đạo luật tiền điện tử để chống lại việc sử dụng chúng cho các mục đích tài chính phi pháp. Dự luật dịch vụ tài chính lưỡng đảng này<\/a> sẽ hình thành nên một nhóm làm việc của chính phủ để tiếp cận các hoạt động khủng bố và rửa tiền thông qua tiền điện tử<\/b>.<\/p>

Đạo luật này được bảo trợ bởi hạ nghị sĩ Zach Nunn (R-Iowa) và thông qua vào hôm thứ 2. Qua đó, nó cũng giúp góp phần gia tăng quan hệ đối tác công tư trong việc khám phá các vấn đề xoay quanh tài chính phi pháp trong hệ sinh thái tài sản kỹ thuật số.<\/p>

Trong khi tiền điện tử đang ngày càng phát triển nhanh chóng như một phương tiện thanh toán chính thì hạ nghị sĩ Nunn muốn đảm bảo rằng những người Mỹ phải được bảo vệ khi tiếp cận chúng.<\/p>

Ông ấy đã tuyên bố: “Dự luật lưỡng đảng này sẽ đảm bảo cho Hoa Kỳ sẵn sàng giải quyết các rủi ro bảo mật và ngăn chặn rửa tiền phi pháp trong khi vẫn bảo vệ sự lựa chọn của người tiêu dùng đối cho tất cả người dân Mỹ,”. “Chúng ta phải làm cả 2 việc này để bảo đảm cho sự toàn vẹn lâu dài của các tài sản kỹ thuật số.”<\/p>

Nhóm cộng tác tạm thời này sẽ trực thuộc Bộ Ngân khố Hoa kỳ. Nó sẽ bao gồm các chuyên gia trong ngành như đại diện từ các công ty blockchain, các viện nghiên cứu, và công ty fintech.<\/p>

Hơn thế nữa, nhóm này sẽ nghiên cứu các giao dịch tiền điện tử và cách thức để ngăn chặn các đối tượng sử dụng chúng cho mục đích khủng bố.\n<\/p>

Dự luật tiền điện tử khó có thể được Thượng Viện thông qua<\/b><\/h2>

\nMặc dù hạ viện đã thông qua nhưng dự luật này khó có thể được thượng viện chấp thuậ<\/b>n. Dù vậy, dự luật này đã là một phần của nỗ lực rộng lớn hơn của Quốc hội để giải quyết các quy định tiền điện tử.<\/p>

Ngoài ra, trong suốt bài phát biểu tại hạ viện của hạ nghị sĩ Nunn đã nhấn mạnh về sự quan trọng của dự luật này để đảm bảo cho “thế hệ tiếp theo của công nghệ internet và tài chính được xây dựng ngay tại nước Mỹ.”<\/p>

Theo Jaret Seiberg từ TD Cowen, dự luật này tạo nên một cách thức để ghi nhận nhu cầu của các nhà phê bình tiền điện tử đối với việc trừng trị các hoạt động rửa tiền. Theo báo cáo của CoinDesk, ông ta đã viết trong một ghi chú với khách hàng rằng dự luật này sẽ mang đến cho những người ủng hộ tiền điện tử “vỏ bọc chính trị” khỏi các cuộc tấn công.<\/p>
