What Development Challenges Are There for the Lightning Network?

In this video, Bitcoin entrepreneur, author, and educator Andreas M. Antonopoulos explains a bit about the development of Lightning and walks through some of the current challenges.

According to him, the Lightning Network's development is much different from Bitcoin's - it is less conservative and allows for more experimentation. It can be built without strict adherence with consensus rules, meaning that different developers can experiment with different sets of B.O.L.T. standard.
