Vitalik Buterin on the price of ETH, ICOs, Ethereum

During a livestream of the Unchained podcast on March 20, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of the Ethereum platfom, discussed two things why the price of ether being higher rather than lower is good: "If the price is zero, then the network can’t be secure. That’s true in proof-of-work and proof-of-stake,” Buterin said, adding that if the price is higher, blockchain projects that hold large funds of ether will have more money to "do the things they want to do." Among other things, Buterin also talked about initial coin offerings (ICOs). According to him, to some extent, "ICOs are something that was going to happen on some platform regardless of what platform it ultimately was."
