Dünyanın en büyük stablecoin’i olan USDT’nin arkasındaki şirket olarak bilinen stablecoin ihraççısı Tether çarşamba günü İngiliz sterlinine sabitlenmiş yeni stablecoin’in lansmanını duyurdu<\/a>.<\/p>

Tether’in duyurusunda, pound’a sabitlenmiş coinin adının GBP₮ (GBPT) olduğu ve ilk olarak Ethereum (ETH)<\/a> blok zincirinde piyasaya sürüleceği söylendi. Daha sonra hangi blok zincirlerinin desteklenebileceği hakkında bilgi verilmedi.<\/p>

Tether’in bu hamlesi, Birleşik Krallık hükümetinin bu yılın Nisan ayında Birleşik Krallık’ı “küresel kripto varlık teknolojisi merkezi” haline getirmeye yönelik planlarını<\/a> duyurumasının ardından geldi. Hükümetin planları arasında stablecoin’lerin ödeme yöntemi olarak kabul edilmesi de yer alıyor.<\/p>

Tether’e göre hükümetin planının Birleşik Krallık’ı “bir sonraki endüstri inovasyon dalgası için birincil bölge” haline getirmesi bekleniyor.<\/p>

Şirketin İngiliz sterlinine sabitlenmiş stablecoin planlarını değerlendiren Tether teknoloji sorumlusu Paolo Ardoino, Birleşik Krallık’ın hükümetin öngördüğü kripto teknoloji merkezi haline gelmesine yardımcı olmayı umduklarını söyledi.<\/p>

Ardoino, “Tether, bu hedefin gerçekleşmesi için Birleşik Krallık düzenleyicileriyle çalışmaya hazır ve Tether stablecoin’lerinin kabulünü dört gözle bekliyor” dedi.<\/p>

Tether’in ABD dolarına sabitlenmiş coini olan USDT<\/a>‘nin yanı sıra euro’ya (EURT), Çin yuanına (CNHT) ve Meksika pesosuna (MXNT) sabitlenmiş stablecoin’leri bulunuyor. Şirketin ayrıca XAUT<\/a> olarak bilinen altına sabitlenmiş bir stablecoin’i de bulunuyor.<\/p>
