Erik Voorhees

Erik Voorhees is the founder and CEO of the crypto exchange ShapeShift and the co-founder of the bitcoin-focused company Coinapult. Voorhees is often the subject of the news from the crypto world as a prominent commentator on the issues facing the blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies. In addition to ShapeShift and Coinapult, Voorhees had his hand in the operation of the Satoshi Dice website which served as the bitcoin-focused online gambling platform. Voorhees’ earlier association with Bitcoin informed the manner of operation of ShapeShift which he describes as more in line with the original Bitcoin vision than centralized exchanges. Voorhees also supports the view that the cycles of busts and booms are perfectly natural for the crypto world. He attributes these to the fact that cryptocurrencies are experiencing a global expansion.
