Andreas M. Antonopoulos (born in 1972) is a Greek-British Bitcoin evangelist and expert. Antonopoulos advocates the use of Bitcoin as a host of the Let's Talk Bitcoin podcast and a well-known commentator on all matters relating to cryptocurrencies.
Antonopoulos has a degree in digital currencies from the University of Nicosia as well as computer science and data communications and distributed systems degrees from the University College London. His interest in Bitcoin project was developed in 2012 and put into practice after he became a consultant, promoter and writer whose works were focused on extoling the benefits of cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin in particular) and blockchain.
Based on his history of advocacy and activism in the crypto scene, Antonopoulos has served as a consultant in various startups which are related to Bitcoin. Antonopoulos is rather vocal in in presenting his opinions, such as when he explained his disapproval of the Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and arguments he had with other renowned cryptocurrency commentators.
