EthCC[8] heads to Cannes from June 30-July 3, 2025, uniting Ethereum developers, founders, and institutions to explore the network’s post-Pectra growth and evolving role in global finance.

The Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC[8]) is set to convene in Cannes, France, from June 30 to July 3, 2025. This marks the first time the event will be held in Cannes, bringing together developers, researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to discuss Ethereum’s trajectory and its expanding role in global finance and technology.

“EthCC has always been about creating space for real conversations – about where we are, what we’ve learned, and what we still need to build. Ethereum is transitioning into critical financial and digital infrastructure. As this transformation accelerates, EthCC remains an important moment to gather, share knowledge, and ground ourselves in the values that brought us here”, said Jerome de Tychey, Founder and President of Ethereum France.

Gathering Amidst Ethereum’s Evolution

Organized by Ethereum France, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting blockchain education in French-speaking regions, EthCC[8] arrives at a pivotal moment. Following the recent Pectra upgrade, which aims to enhance Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency, the conference will provide a platform to explore the network’s evolving infrastructure and its implications for broader adoption.

Diverse Participation and Sponsorship

The conference has attracted a range of sponsors, including Robinhood and Crypto Life (powered by Baanx), reflecting Ethereum’s growing integration into traditional financial systems. Over 400 speakers are expected to participate, offering insights across various domains. Notable figures such as Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and representatives from institutions like Robinhood Crypto and Sygnum Bank are slated to speak.

Expanding the Conversation Beyond Technology

EthCC[8] will feature the EthVC program, providing startups an opportunity to present their projects to venture capital firms including DFG, BPI France, Thêta Capital, and Accel. This initiative underscores the conference’s commitment to fostering innovation within the Ethereum ecosystem.

Community Engagement Throughout EthCC Week

In addition to the main conference, EthCC Week will run from June 27 to July 6, encompassing a series of side events, workshops, and meetups across Cannes. These gatherings aim to facilitate deeper discussions and collaborations among attendees.
