Beroemde Bitcoin-‘bull’ en hoofd van Fundstrat Global Advisors<\/b> Tom Lee is standvastig in het feit dat $25.000 per Bitcoin-voorspelling een goede waarde is voor de cryptocurrency, maar dat de timing “misschien moeilijk is”.<\/p>

Hij heeft zich eerder uit de voorspellingsgame teruggetrokken – maar merkte op dat “we geen tijd meer zullen geven voor de realisatie van de reële waarde”<\/i>, waar hij trouw aan bleef, omdat hij geen tijdschema voor deze voorspelling geeft.<\/p>

Tegen Fox Business gaf hij commentaar op zijn oorspronkelijke voorspelling dat de prijs eind 2018 $25.000 zou bedragen:
\n“It’s a huge disappointment, neither came in terms of price or calendar. Last year was a year where the crypto bubble was really adjusting […] we thought Bitcoin would sort of survive that. It didn’t. It got sold off with the rest of the market.”<\/i><\/p>

Op de vraag of hij wenste dat hij nooit de voorspelling had gedaan, legde Lee uit: “Strangely, I just think that’s a good, fair value for Bitcoin, but the timing of that is going to be difficult […] First, Bitcoin has had 70% pullbacks four times already in its 10 year history<\/a>, and it’s recovered to new all-time highs every time. To me, it’s resilient. [Crypto is becoming] an asset class, especially driven by millennials and outside the US, there’s an interest in a digital currency, digital asset store of value that’s not traditional money.”<\/i><\/p>

Toch maakt hij absoluut geen voorspellingen over wanneer dat zou kunnen zijn, of wanneer de bearmarkt zou kunnen eindigen. In een notitie aan klanten, gedateerd 13 december, schreef Lee:“We are tired of people asking us about target prices […] Because of the inherent volatility in crypto, we will cease to provide any timeframes for the realization of fair value.”<\/i> Sindsdien is hij stil gebleven over de prijs – tot nu toe.<\/p>
