Bron: een video screenshot.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>BitGo is een Californisch blockchain beveiligingsbedrijf dat medio 2014 het eerste bedrijf werd dat portefeuilles met meerdere handtekeningen voor cryptocurrency commercialiseerde.<\/p><p>Volgens het Bloomberg-rapport bracht BitGo in totaal $58,5 miljoen bijeen in de financieringsronde, waaruit de twee bedrijven samen $15 miljoen investeerden. Het rapport meldde verder dat het veiligstellen van investeringen van spraakmakende financi\u00eble bedrijven zoals Goldman Sachs de crypto-beveiligingsstartup kan helpen meer welgestelde personen en financi\u00eble instellingen als klanten aan te trekken.<\/p><p>Volgens Mike Novogratz is deze stap weer een volgende stap op weg naar het ontwikkelen van de architectuur die instellingen nodig hebben om crypto volledig te omarmen:<\/p><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More institutional architecture. Hetzelfde geldt voor instellingen die grote hoeveelheden geld beheren in de vorm van digitale activa, wat verklaart waarom Wall Street zo graag meer vertrouwde beheerders krijgt op deze markt.<\/p><p>Uitleg waarom custody zo belangrijk is voor met name grote crypto-investeerders zei mede-oprichter en CEO van BitGo, Mike Belshe: <i>\u201cIf you were investing in any other asset class, you\u2019re probably not worried about the asset just disappearing \u2013 but this one, people still have that fear,\u201d<\/i> daaraan toevoegend, <i>\u201cwe\u2019ve got to conquer that.\u201d<\/i><\/p><p>Ondanks dat ze in BitGo hebben ge\u00efnvesteerd, werken Mike Novogratz en Galaxy Digital al samen met andere bedrijven op crypto custody-services. Zoals <i>Cryptonews.com<\/i> eerder deze week meldde, zal Galaxy Digital de &quot;alpha crypto custody-client&quot; zijn voor het [aangekondigde] crypto-initiatief van Fidelity, Fidelity Digital Assets, een digitale full-service activa platform voor financi\u00eble instellingen.<\/p><p>Met een beheerd vermogen van $7,2 biljoen is Fidelity de vierde grootste vermogensbeheerder ter wereld.
