Galaxy Digital LP <\/b>, opgericht door de beroemde Wall Street-bankier en crypto-liefhebber Mike Novogratz, zal debuteren voor openbare handel op de TSX Venture Exchange<\/b> in Toronto op 1 augustus.<\/p>

Galaxy Digital is opgezet als een “full service, digitale handelsbank voor activa” of wat sommigen hebben beschreven als de ‘Goldman Sachs for Crypto’. De vier bedrijfsdomeinen waarop de nieuwe handelsbank zich zal richten, zijn de handel in digitale activa, investeringen in blockchain-gerelateerde bedrijven, beleggingsbeheer en klantadvies.<\/p>

Het bedrijf gaat van start onder de naam Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd. <\/b>, met tickercode GLXY. Volgens Novogratz wil hij uiteindelijk dat het bedrijf wereldwijd wordt verhandeld, met toekomstige aanbiedingen gepland voor de exchanges in Frankfurt, Londen en Hongkong, aldus Bloomberg. Hij schat verder dat het nieuwe bedrijf vanaf het tweede kwartaal van 2019 winst zal opleveren.<\/p>

Galaxy verkocht in januari aandelen aan beleggers met een private plaatsing van $0,05, toen de bitcoin-prijzen nog op hun hoogtepunt waren. Novogratz blijft echter vol vertrouwen dat de bitcoin-prijzen dit jaar weer opveren.<\/p>

“I think we actually are in the bottom of the market. Part of this is the anticipation of an ETF<\/a> [Exchange traded fund] that will hopefully get approved. If that ETF gets approved in a few weeks, we will go to USD 10,000.
