De Zuid-Koreaanse telecomgigant KT <\/b> heeft details onthuld van zijn langverwachte blockchain-platform. Het bedrijf zegt dat het ’s werelds eerste is die blockchain-technologie toepast op een commercieel netwerk en zij zulllen in staat zijn om in 2019 100.000 transacties per seconde af te handelen.<\/p>

Als eerder gerapporteerd <\/a> op Cryptonews .com<\/i>, werkt KT al eerder dit jaar aan een energiehandelssysteem met blockchain-energie. <\/p>

TV-kanaal KBS meldt dat het handelsplatform Zuid-Koreaanse energietraders toestaat om elektriciteit te verkopen aan Korea Electric Power Corporation <\/b> (KEPCO), het grootste elektriciteitsbedrijf in het land, met peer-to-peer-verkopen ook ingeschakeld. KT-functionarissen zeggen dat traders via het platform realtime energieverkopen kunnen doen, die vóór het einde van het jaar operationeel zullen zijn.<\/p>

Volgens Kukmin Ilbo is KT ook van plan om zijn platform beschikbaar te stellen aan de eigenaars van elektrische voertuigen (EV’s).<\/p>

Het bedrijf zegt ook dat het blockchain-platform “hack-proof” is (omdat het de IP-adressen van gebruikers niet blootlegt) en is van plan om zijn product te gebruiken in combinatie met zijn telecomoperaties. KT zegt dat het het platform zal gebruiken om klanten in staat te stellen om roamingkosten in realtime te regelen, en verklaart dat het pilots is gestart in Zuid-Korea, China en Japan.<\/p>
