De Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Industry Association, een consortium van alle 16 Japanse cryptocurrency-uitwisselingsplatforms die een exploitatievergunning hebben gekregen van het Financial Services Agency, heeft zijn eerste offici\u00eble vergadering gehouden.<\/p>

Deze groep werd opgericht in maart van dit jaar, maar kwam gisteren voor de eerste keer samen om zijn leiderschapsstructuur te kiezen en zijn doelen te schetsen. Yasunori Okuyama, president van Money Partners, werd benoemd tot voorzitter van de vereniging en vertelde verslaggevers: \u201cWe will first seek to agree upon a code of self-regulatory policies. Once we have done that, we will look to gain official recognition as a self-regulatory organization.\u201d<\/i><\/p>

Het orgaan zei ook dat het zal trachten een gedragscode op te stellen voor exchanges, offici\u00eble statistieken uit te geven en zijn leden te controleren. De leden spraken ook over de noodzaak om strengere veiligheidsmaatregelen in te voeren, zich te gedragen als "verantwoordelijke financi\u00eble instellingen" en te werken aan gedeelde doelen, en technologische vooruitgang te delen.<\/p>
