Dit heeft ertoe geleid dat PwC, een van de Big Four-auditors, een nieuw ICO-specialistisch team in Hong Kong heeft opgezet, omdat Chinese, Zuid-Koreaanse, Japanse en andere Aziatische bedrijven zonder de last van regelgeving token verkopen. Maar nieuwe ontwikkelingen suggereren dat de klok tikt &#8211; en dat zowel Singapore als Hong Kong binnenkort de policing van de ICO-uitgifte kan be\u0117indigen.<\/p><p>In gesprek met de South China Morning Post zei een fintech-expert van het advocatenkantoor RPC in Hongkong dat ICO-gerelateerde vragen sinds september vorig jaar zijn toegenomen en nu &quot;dagelijks binnenkomen&quot;. De advocaat zei: <i>&quot;De voor de hand liggende gedachte volgende stap voor veel Chinese ICO-emittenten is om de grens over te steken. Je kunt nog steeds Chinees [in Hong Kong] spreken, maar je kunt opereren in een gunstiger regelgevingsklimaat. &quot;<\/i><\/p><p>De bloeiende financi\u00eble sector in Singapore heeft het ook tot een logisch gebied gemaakt van waaruit ICO-activiteiten kunnen worden uitgevoerd. Bedrijven en individuen die elders in Azi\u00eb zijn gevestigd, waaronder Zuid-Korea en de Filippijnen, hebben al gebruik gemaakt van dit feit &#8211; en de betrekkelijk onverboden benadering van het land om ICO&#8217;s te controleren.<\/p><p>Echter, dezelfde media outlet citeert ook een woordvoerder van de Singaporese centrale bank omdat het <i>lichaam<\/i> &quot;significante risico&#8217;s bij het gebruik van cryptocurrencies&quot; erkent en verklaart dat &quot;werk aan [ICO-regelgeving] aan de gang is.&quot; En er zijn ook suggesties dat Hong Kong is ook bereid om meer toezicht te houden op ICO&#8217;s. Eerder dit jaar onderzocht de regulerende Securities and Future Commission van het autonome gebied meerdere klachten &#8216;tegen ICO-uitgevende instellingen&#8217; zonder licentie of frauduleuze activiteiten, en liet een aantal bedrijven hun ICO-aanvragen in te trekken.<\/p><p>China was ooit het defacto ICO-draaipunt van het continent, maar in september 2017 zorgde een \u200b\u200bgrootscheepse hardhandig optreden dat crypto-startups in groten getale naar het buitenland vertrokken. Zuid-Korea zou ondertussen veranderingen van zijn eigen ICO-wetgeving bespreken, hoewel ICO&#8217;s momenteel verboden zijn in het land. Mocht Seoul zijn verbod echter terugdraaien, dan zal het waarschijnlijk mogelijk strenge regels voorschrijven voor tokensverkoop. Japan werkt ook aan vernieuwende ICO-reguleringsinitiatieven.
