De kern van dit Ethereum nieuws is beveiliging, want op dat vlak vormt ETH zelf het onderpand.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Robinhood Chain zet ETH als gas centraal<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Robinhood lanceerde begin juli zijn eigen Layer 2 netwerk, gebouwd op de Arbitrum stack. Het netwerk draait op blokken van 100 milliseconden en ging live met Uniswap en Chainlink erop. Alle transacties rekenen gas af in ETH, wat directe vraag naar de token oplevert. Groeit het gebruik, dan neemt het aantal ETH dat als gas wordt betaald mee toe, waardoor de vraagzijde van de Ethereum koers steun krijgt.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waarom Ethereum beveiliging de ETH koers stuwt<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Layer 2 netwerken staan niet op zichzelf. Ze leunen op het Ethereum mainnet voor afwikkeling, data en beveiliging. Valt die beveiliging weg, dan komen ook de toepassingen op de Layer 2 netwerken in gevaar.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volgens cijfers uit het ecosysteem staat er ongeveer $76 miljard aan ETH gestaked om het netwerk te beveiligen. Een frauduleuze transactie doorvoeren zou een aanvaller zo&#8217;n $50,7 miljard aan ETH kosten.
