De GENIUS-wet versterkt dit vertrouwen en technisch oogt het beeld sterk. Toch blijft september historisch een lastige maand, wat de vraag oproept: komt er desondanks een nieuwe crypto rally? In dit artikel gaan we hier dieper op in.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crypto whale ruilt Bitcoin in voor Ethereum<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De \u2018Bitcoin OG\u2019 die in augustus begon met het verschuiven van zijn vermogen van $11,4 miljard naar Ether heeft afgelopen weekend opnieuw $ETH gekocht en bezit inmiddels voor $3,8 miljard aan de munt, blijkt uit on-chain data.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In zijn meest recente zet verkocht de Bitcoin-whale 4000 Bitcoin ter waarde van $435 miljoen, in ruil voor 96.859 spot Ether tijdens een koopgolf van 12 uur, aldus Lookonchain in een bericht op zondag.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This Bitcoin OG has sold 4,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BTC<\/a>($435M) and bought 96,859 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ETH<\/a> ($433M) spot over the past 12 hours.<br><br>In total, he has bought 837,429 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ETH<\/a>($3.85B).<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RAEzClsCvr\">https:\/\/t.co\/RAEzClsCvr<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZUSDL1cIRm\">pic.twitter.com\/ZUSDL1cIRm<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Lookonchain (@lookonchain) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lookonchain\/status\/1962173353265115358?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 31, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De whale stortte vervolgens nog eens 1000 Bitcoin op de gedecentraliseerde exchange Hyperliquid op maandag, mogelijk om opnieuw Ether aan te kopen.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De blockchain-analysetool merkte de whale voor het eerst op 25 augustus en berekende dat zijn totale bezit op dat moment 100.784 Bitcoin bedroeg, goed voor meer dan $11,4 miljard tegen de huidige prijzen.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De \u2018Bitcoin OG\u2019 sluit zich hiermee aan bij een reeks andere whales die voor het eerst Bitcoin verruilen voor Ether. Analisten vertelden dat dit een teken is dat de markt volwassen wordt en dat whales diversifi\u00ebren in het licht van positieve regulatoire ontwikkelingen in de VS.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GENIUS-wet drijft whales richting altcoins<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Henrik Andersson, chief investment officer van investeringsfirma Apollo Crypto, vertelt dat het lastig is om te weten wat individuele whales precies denken, maar dat er historisch gezien een rotatie in de markt plaatsvindt: van Bitcoin naar Ether en daarna naar <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.cryptonews.com\/crypto\/beste-altcoins\/\">de beste altcoins.<\/a><\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNa de GENIUS-wet en pro-Amerikaanse regelgeving is er meer aantrekkingskracht richting sommige altcoins, vooral Ethereum. Het zou kunnen dat bepaalde whales ervoor kiezen om te diversifi\u00ebren gezien het positieve klimaat,\u201d aldus Andersson.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In juli ondertekende president Donald Trump de GENIUS Act, de eerste federale wet in de VS die zich exclusief richt op payment stablecoins.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volgens Andersson heeft Ether sindsdien duidelijk momentum opgebouwd. Op 24 augustus bereikte de token een nieuwe all-time high door boven de $4946 uit te stijgen, aldus CoinGecko. Op dit moment handelt Ether rond $4389, een daling van 1,2% in de afgelopen 24 uur. Laten we <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.cryptonews.com\/news\/ethereum-koers-verwachting.htm\">de koersverwachting van Ethereum<\/a> beter bekijken. <\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Komt er een rally aan in september?<\/h2><span class=\"replacer\"><\/span><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De geschiedenis van Ethereum laat zien dat een positieve augustusmaand bijna altijd werd gevolgd door een negatieve september.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zo steeg $ETH in augustus 2020 met +25,3%, maar daalde het in september met \u221217%.
