What are SeaCrypt NFTs?
SeaCrypt NFTs are pet (Fish) themed NFT collectibles on Polygon network. Unlike typical 2D collections in mainstream NFT projects, SeaCrypt is the first NFT Project that has successfully adopted genetic and evolution modeling approaches to generate unique and animated metaverse pets that go beyond traditional static models or gif files. This important milestone has opened up the possibility of generating long-lasting values and utilities in the Metaverse, especially for the early adopters.
Genetically Generated NFT
SeaCrypt fishes are generated genetically, which takes inspiration and input from your special moments or memories, be it the name of the loved ones or special events.
Just like your special moments/memory, every fish is unique. SeaCrypt fishes are generated based on mathematical modeling using DNA concepts – no one can control the attributes of the fish (not even the dev!). The (memory) phrases in the form of birthmark do play a significant role in determining the probability of evolution or mutation.
No gamed rarity. Most NFT projects manipulated the fake rarity e.g. artificially creating a rare feature (0.5% blue fin) to inflate the value of an NFT.
In SeaCrypt fishes, there are no preset rare features, the community (a.k.a SeaCryptian) will naturally covet the most desirable features.
Birthmark – A Decentralised Place for Special Moments
SeaCrypt fishes are generated genetically using an advanced genetic system. NFT holders have to key in their “birthmark”, to mint a fish from pre-purchased eggs. The “birthmark” will be carved into the eyes of the fish permanently, granting the memory capturing mechanism to the communities.
Uniqueness of the birthmark is guaranteed in SeaCrypt. For instance, popular phrases like “Elon Musk” or “To the moon” will be up for grab on a first come first served basis.
SeaCrypt Partnership Program (SPP)
There is a scarce supply of 3333 eggs. When an egg is hatched, a genesis fish (first generation) will be minted. All the egg/genesis fish holders will be automatically enrolled into SeaCrypt Partnership Program (SPP).
SPP is created to reward early adopters for helping to populate the SeaCrypt universe with seed genetics which is critical for the SeaCrypt ecosystem. SeaCrypt partners will be rewarded with 70% of royalties generated from transactions in OpenSea. The income will be accelerated with the introduction of breeding (fees) in future.
SeaCrypt was officially launched on 28th October 2022. With the official release, SeaCryptians can now “hatch” their eggs into genesis fishes in the SeaCrypt world. The hatched fishes can be viewed on both SeaCrypt websites and on OpenSea. The fishes can also be put on sale on OpenSea.
Free hatch is given out daily at 11am NY time. Communities can claim the eggs from SeaCrypt website and hatch their very first fish.
The most common concern that people have on most NFTs is that it has no utility. SeaCrypt has the same beliefs: utility will bring long-term values to NFTs.
SeaCrypt NFTs will be equipped with real utilities:
- Fish breeding
- NFT holders can mate their fish with other fishes to produce a new fish
- The new fish belongs to the breeder
- All the fishes can also be put on sales on OpenSea
- Fish interaction
- SeaCrypt NFT format (GL Transmission Format Binary File) allows the fishes to interact with their owners
- One example is fish eyes following mouse movement
- Aquarium and metaverse integration
- Similarly, SeaCrypt NFT format gives the flexibility to load the fishes into an aquarium where the fishes can swim freely on their own
