The Sandbox and Decentraland took crypto by storm in 2021 – leading the GameFi charge and quickly securing respective market caps of between $5 and $10 billion at their peaks.

However, while institutional investors and global brands such as Adidas and Gucci jumped on the bandwagon in late 2021, the last 12 months have been a huge struggle for the two metaverse games.

According to DappRadar, the two games have had less than 20,000 players combined in the past 30 days and have been dubbed ’empty Metaverses’ by critics.

Their tokens – MANA and SAND – have each lost more than 90% since the November 2021 peak, with more pain expected in the coming weeks for investors.

Now, an exciting new crypto presale project has also launched, with the game expected to challenge The Sandbox and Decentraland at the top of the crypto gaming charts.

RobotEra is our top pick for best gaming cryptos as it offers investors and players numerous avenues to generate active and passive income.

What is RobotEra?

RobotEra is a new crypto gaming project that combines play-to-earn gaming with NFT ownership and metaverse world-building.

Players must construct the destroyed planet Taro, using robot companions to rebuild metaverse plots of land and increase their value.

RobotEra players can generate active and passive income – through the native token TARO – in a variety of ways, from going on quests, participating in community events and concerts, cultivating sacred trees, mining, staking, and much more.

No prior coding knowledge is needed to rebuild Taro with RobotEra featuring custom building tools that allow players to not only build infrastructure, but add 3D scenes, sounds, physics, user interaction and more.

In fact, RobotEra’s developers believe new utility and revenue streams will develop over time, with players free to rebuild the world how they want, with few limitations.

Players can charge ticket admission to events, concerts, and museums, or sell billboard space to advertisers, as well as sell individual structures or their entire metaverse plots on the open market.

Robot companions – vital to the game – allow the players to go on quests for rewards and allow the land to be mined for resources. They can also be upgraded and customized and sold for profit as NFTs on the open market.

Players are able to stake their TARO which not only grants a passive annualized yield, but is vital for rebuilding Taro and also grants stakers voting rights on the future direction of the project via the RobotEra decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

One future development already on the roadmap is virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) functionality, which is set to be added to the game in the first half of 2023.

TARO Presale Info

RobotEra’s presale only launched in mid-November but has already seen almost $250,000 of funding secured with investors keen to buy the token at a discounted price.

Like most crypto presales, TARO is currently on offer for below market value during its presale with the project keen to entice investors into the ecosystem.

Now in stage 1 of its presale, TARO is on sale for $0.02, but will increase to $0.025 in stage 2 and then $0.032 in stage 3 – a 60% increase from the current price.

Only 270 million (15%) of the max 1.8 billion supply of TARO will be sold during the presale – 90 million tokens in each stage – with no vesting period on presale tokens and a hard cap of $6.93 million.

RobotEra, which is an LBank Labs project, will then make a further 3% of tokens available for exchanges for the token’s IEO, meaning it is likely that investors may find a supply shock once the token is launched.

The remaining allocation is mostly split between the treasury/DAO (33%) and the P2E prize pool (25%), with the ECO fund getting 9%, the team (10%), advisors (3%), and early institutional investor LBank (2%) make up the remaining supply.

RobotEra has a doxxed team that has been KYC-verified by CoinSniper, while the TARO token smart contract has also been fully audited by SharkTeam.
