Cutting-edge technologies open new opportunities for the gaming industry to develop. If earlier, people who wished to participate in the card tournament had to physically reach it, nowadays it is enough to have a smartphone or a computer.

Technological development brought the digitalization of games to a new level. Among other things, developers have found solutions to integrate cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFT) into the games while preserving the industry traditions.

One of the most highly anticipated games in 2021 is GUNOX by GAMEOLOGY, the developers of which have successfully created a high-tech environment with enhanced capabilities for earning in the virtual domain. We are sharing what is special about the platform and why it deserves the gamers’ attention.

What is GUNOX

GUNOX is a new generation card game created by the Australian platform team GAMEOLOGY.  The project representatives plan to launch the game on the G-PLATFORM platform.

The GUNOX team drew inspiration from a classic game UNO which means “one”  in Spanish.

Interesting fact! The game UNO was created by an American barber Merle Robbins at the beginning of the 1970s. At the beginning of the 90s, he had to sell the rights to the brand company Mattel.

The most similar game is Mau-Mau. In some regions, the game also goes by the names 101 or Pharaoh. This being said, the rules may considerably change in different modifications.

The GAMEOLOGY team had breathed new life into UNO by transforming an old game into the high-tech project GUNOX. The platform has been constructed for the virtual environment. And the team’s efforts in the VR added several advantages to the game, among which there are:

A decentralized principle is at the core of the processes. The game is built on blockchain. The technology secures the data authenticity and is tamper-proof. By using blockchain technologies, the developers made the gaming process transparent.

The prize pool “GUNO” will be accumulated in the GAMEOLOGY native tokens – GMYX. In the future, developers promise to add new cryptocurrencies. Also, the players will be able to create the prize pools in the cryptocurrencies with the highest capitalization, including a currency of the popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance Coin, BNB. The integration of cryptocurrencies is part of the strategy course towards ensuring maximum transparency during the gaming process. All transactions with coins are registered in the blockchain that allows tracking and eliminates possibilities for fraud.

GUNOX has no limits on the bets. Gamers decide by themselves on the volume of the prize pools. Moreover, transparent processing in cryptocurrencies allows winners to instantly get access to their game pay-offs.

The platform supports NFT. Developers call attention to the fact that some of the GUNOX cards were sold as non-fungible tokens on the popular marketplace OpenSea. The NFT collectibles will appear in the final version of the game. Moreover, those cards will have a special purpose.

GUNOX games have access to additional opportunities to earn money. For example, users can earn profits on the NFT collectibles price growth. Also, gamers have access to earning opportunities at the GUNOX-compatible mining simulator G-MINER where it is possible to get GMYX tokens multiplied up to 2x via pressing the “2X” button which randomly appears at the end of the mining procedure.

Interesting fact! In the GUNOX environment, players can create their own lobbies the name of which will be proposed by the users.

To support the thrill of the competition, the platform will publish the tournament table with the best players. Moreover, GUNOX players will be able to communicate with each other. The developers provide them with a convenient system of chats where among other things gamers will be able to discuss upcoming tournaments and agree on the prize pool volumes.

Another distinctive feature of GUNOX is the availability of the tools to create grandstands for fans and spectators. Players will be able to share invites in the form of links by following which guests will be directed to the virtual audience seats to witness the game.

In future, developers also promise to enlarge the number available on GUNOX tools that are believed to place the project among the gaming industry leaders. Also, the GAMEOLOGY team emphasizes that there will be regular tournaments in the virtual environment with substantial prize pools.

How to play GUNOX

Since GUNOX is a card game, the creation of the card deck was one of the main stages in the project development. The GAMEOLOGY team invited designers to assist with the process. As a result, the deck consists of unique cards the value of which will make it possible to earn on them in the NFT market, among other things. The deck consists of 70 cards:

  • 60 cards with numbers and actions;
  • 10 special cards.

The main principle of the game GUNOX is that it is the game till the last card. The player has to discard all cards that were in hand. The gaming process is the following:

  • At least 2 players are required. Each player gets 7 cards
  • The system opens a card from a deck that will serve as a start of the game card. Later on, the system picks a player to lead. Now the player needs to cover a card from his hand that is of the same colour, number, or symbol.
  • If a player gets no such card in hand, he takes one from a deck and puts it on the table. If the card matches, it might go to the discard pile. If not, the second player comes to the game.
  • There are also additional rules. For example, cards of the same number can be discarded all at once. This rule does not apply to cards of the same colour.
  • In GUNOX, there are also cards with actions that can change the course of the game. For example, there are some cards on the desk that can change the colour of any card in hand, so a player can discard cards without taking more cards from a deck. There are also other “actions”: for example, the “SAVE GUNOX” card makes a competitor take 3 cards from a deck in case he or she has just one card in hand.
