In the two years that it has been on the scene, Phemex has positioned itself as an exchange that is all about its users. When it first launched, it ran a 2.1 BTC giveaway that rewarded the tokens to whoever could solve a particular puzzle. The contest went viral online and the company has continued to creatively engage with audiences since then.

Now, the exchange is celebrating its second year in existence, and true to its reputation, Phemex will be doing so by giving back to the community by holding a Choose Your Reality event.

Details About the Event

As part of the Choose Your Reality event, Phenex is giving out grand prizes to those who come up with the most inventive birthday wishes. Additionally, the platform is asking its users to let them know what their dreams or aspirations are through its “Dream With Phemex” campaign, and out of all the entries, the exchange will choose some lucky winners and turn their dreams into a reality.

This comes after two very successful years for the company where it grew from hosting just three contract pairs, to launching over 40 spot pairs, 39 contract pairs, and amassing over 1.5 million users. The company has also launched a number of innovative initiatives and viral campaigns during that time.

Previously, the company launched a campaign to find the original Bitcoin Pizza guy and in mid-2021, launched what was dubbed “The Era of Zero” in which premium members were able to enjoy zero-fee spot trading. After this was the Earn Crypto program where users could earn up to 8.5% APY on their USDTdeposits worth up to USD 1.5 million.

These days, Phemex is not only celebrating all it has achieved so far, but is also gearing up to take on one of the biggest emerging concepts in the blockchain industry, the metaverse.

In 2021, Phemex sold its first NFT, an artwork that contained the ETH addresses of 1,000 of its users. After the NFT sold for USD 100,000 (44 ETH at the time), the funds were distributed to the participants. With regards to the future of Phemex in the NFT space, founder Jack Tao spoke on their potential, as well as that of the metaverse, at the recent World Blockchain Summit in Dubai.

“NFTs are here to stay, not because some have been sold for millions of dollars, but because millions have been sold for some dollars. Digital collectables are not only the playground of crypto-whales; they are spreading in the direction of mass distribution,” he said.

Even as the company celebrates two years, we are likely to see even more projects from them moving forward.
