An inaugural conference is coming at a turning point for the industry as a whole and the ambition is to meet in Warsaw every year to celebrate the Etherum milestone – The Merge.

WARSAW – 22 August 2022 – As we are entering the final weeks leading up to The Merge, thousands of experienced builders and curious beginners will gather in Warsaw for ETHWarsaw conference and hackathon in Warsaw, Poland on Sep 1- 4th.

Headline speakers at the event include Stani Kulechov, founder and CEO of leading lending protocol on Ethereum, Aave, Sam McPherson, Protocol Engineering at MakerDAO, Julien Bouteloup, Founder of Stake Capital and StakeDAO, Sumit Kishore, Product Lead at Consensys and many more.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shows a massive support for ETHWarsaw, he said: “This is an exciting time to gather the Polish and CEE region community together to celebrate the network upgrade that we have been collectively working on for the last eight years. After the Merge, Ethereum will be 55% complete, there’s so much to be done in the coming years and that’s where opportunity for Web3 builders & enthusiasts comes in.”

ETHWarsaw, similarly to the biggest Etheruem conferences in the world such as ETHDenver or ETHCC Paris, is a community-led, grassroots event organised by active members of the Web3 community working in blockchain-focused companies around the world.

Aside from The Merge being the hot topic of the conversation, the event will be organized around six key tracks – Scalability, DAO & Governance, DeFi, Security, Web3 Trends.

“Our core team has been frequenting multiple conferences all around the world and we recognize the incredible value that comes from such events. That’s why we want to bring the same to Warsaw. With some of the world-best technology universities, student population upwards of 220,’000 and rising interest in blockchain, Warsaw has the potential to become one of Europe’s leading hub for Ethereum developers and blockchain innovation.” said Paulina Joskow, ETHWarsaw Core & Head of Commercial at Ramp

More than 1M people are employed in IT sectors in Poland, 40% of them in Warsaw with multiple high-profile projects building their teams here including Maker, TrueFi, Ramp but also non web3 tech giangst such as Google, IBM or Intel.

The two day conference will be followed by two days of hackathon. During overnight ‘hack’ there will be opportunities for teams and individuals to get hands-on, practical experience working with applications and advanced tools with ~USD 70,000 in value to be won from various competitions.
