한국의 암호화폐<\/a> 사기 전담 부서는 지난 12개월 동안 약 1억 7,000만 달러 상당의 자산을 압수했다.<\/p>

노컷뉴스<\/a>에 따르면 작년 출범된 서울남부지검 가상자산범죄합동수사단(합수단)은 약 1년간 41명을 기소하고 18명의 암호화폐 사기 혐의자를 구속했다.<\/p>

눈코 뜰새 없는 합수단<\/h2><\/span>

합수단은 검찰 관계자뿐만 아니라 금융감독원, 한국거래소, 국세청 직원들로 구성되어 있다.<\/p>

이 부서는 설립 이래로 여러 유명 사건을 맡았다. 한 대규모 코인 사기 사건에서는 12대가 넘는 슈퍼카를 압수<\/a>하기도 했다.<\/p>

또한 서울 강남구 청담동 소재 건물이 압수됐다.<\/p>

게다가 경찰은 지난 12개월 동안 제주도와 강원도에 위치한 용의자의 주거지를 압수했다.<\/p>

합수단에 의하면 대부분의 용의자들은 무고한 피해자들로부터 갈취된 것으로 의심되는 자금으로 호화로운 삶을 살고 있었다.<\/p>

피해자 “저축한 돈 모두 잃었다”<\/h2><\/span>

노컷뉴스는 합수단에서 조사 중인 코인 사기 사건의 여러 피해자와 이야기를 나눴다고 밝혔다.<\/p>

50대 피해자 A씨는 나중에 사기로 밝혀진 코인에 3만 8,000달러를 투자했다고 말했다.<\/p>

그는 피해 금액이 새집 마련을 위한 것이었다고 말했다. 그리고 그는 사기를 당한 이후로 하루도 편히 잠든 날이 없다고 했다.<\/p>

“업체에서 심어둔 프락치들이 돈 다발을 올리고, 허위로 통화 내용을 조작한 것이었다. 지금은 하나부터 끝까지 전부 사기라고 느껴지는데 (투자할) 당시에는 군중심리에 휩쓸려 다녔다”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

다른 피해자 B씨는 “분노”를 표출했다:<\/p>

“(코인 사기범들은) 자신들이 목표한 금액을 채울 때까지 계속 투자자들의 돈을 뜯어낸다. 그래서 보이스피싱 범죄보다 무섭다”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

현금·명품 인증하며 자랑하는 사기꾼들<\/h2><\/span>

노컷뉴스에 의하면 A씨와 B씨가 “가입한 ‘○○코인 카카오톡 대화방’에서 일부 투자자들은 현금 다발, 명품 의류 등을 인증하는 사진을 올리며 자랑했다”고 한다.<\/p>

한 채팅방 회원은 대형 암호화폐 거래소<\/a> 관계자와의 대화를 녹음한 오디오 녹음 파일을 게시했다고 주장한다.<\/p>
