국민의힘이 암호화폐 규제 완화 공약 발표를 무기한 연기했다. 예정되어있던 공약에는 국내 현물 비트코인 ETF 거래 허용 등의 정책이 포함되었다.<\/p>

조선비즈 기사<\/a>에 따르면, 최근 국민의힘이 정책 우선 순위에서 가장자산을 제외해 규제 완화 계획을 사실상 철회했다.<\/p>

종전에 국회 정무위원회 소속 윤창현 의원이 이끄는 여당은 4월 총선 전에 암호화폐 관련 공약을 발표할 계획이었다.<\/p>

상황에 정통한 관계자는 현재 지도부가 지역구 공천 및 비례위성정당인 국민의미래에 들어갈 인사 선정 작업에 집중하고 있다고 전했다.<\/p>

\n암호화폐 공약을 발표하지 않기로 결정한 배경에는 정부, 금융 당국과 충분한 정책 조율이 이루어지지 않았다는 지도부의 판단이 영향을 미친 것으로 알려졌다. 국민의힘이 준비한 공약에는 비트코인 현물 ETF의 거래 및 발행 계획도 포함되었다.<\/p>

그러나 금융위원회는 가상자산과 관련한 투자 위험에 대해 여전히 부정적 시각을 고수하고 있다. 미 SEC는 지난달 비트코인 현물 ETF를 승인했지만, 금융위원회는 이러한 상품의 투자 및 발행을 금지했으며 자본시장법 규정 기초자산에서 가상자산이 제외되는 점을 근거로 들었다.<\/p>

여당은 이외에도 2년 동안 암호화폐 과세를 유예하고 법인의 가상자산 투자를 허용하는 계획도 고려했다. 그러나 관련 부서와의 불충분한 논의 및 잠재적 손실에 대한 우려, 특히나 법인 투자의 위험성에 대한 지적이 제기되어 공약에서 제외된 것으로 보인다.<\/p>

사실, 국민의힘이 준비했던 공약이 이미 더불어민주당의 공약과 비슷했던 점도 공약 철회에 기여했다.<\/p>

보도에 의하면 국민의힘 지도부는 공약의 신선함이 부족해 국민의 관심을 끌지 못할 것으로 판단했다.<\/p>

한편 국내 경찰은 계속해서 가상화폐 관련 마약 거래와의 “전쟁”을 진행 중이다. 서울경찰청은 2022년 6월부터 2023년 12월까지 총 452명을 검거했다. 보도<\/a>에 의하면 경찰은 이번주 세 명의 마약 판매업자를 구속했다. 또한 445명의 투약자 및 4명의 불법 가상자산 거래소 운영자를 검거했다.<\/p>
