월스트리트저널 보도에 의하면 테라폼스 랩스 창업자 권도형이 몇 개월 간의 추측 끝에 결국 미국으로 인도될 것으로 결정되었다.\n<\/p>

“가능성 배제할 수 없어”<\/strong><\/h2>

\n권도형은 지난 3월 몬테네그로에서 위조 여권으로 도주하려다가 체포되었다. 미국과 한국 모두 사기 혐의에 대한 재판을 진행하기 위해 범죄자 인도를 신청했다.<\/p>

지난 달에 권씨의 범죄자 인도가 승인된 후, 월스트리트저널 내부소식통은 권 씨의 운명이 몬테네그로 법무부 장관 안드레이 밀로보치에 달려있다고 전했다. 밀로보치는 권씨가 어디로 인도될지 공개하지 않았지만, 사석에서 몬테네그로 미 대사에 미국으로 보낼 예정이라고 밝힌 것으로 드러났다.<\/p>

밀로보치는 이에 관해 언급하지 않았으며 “시기가 되면 대중에 결정을 알릴 것”이라고만 전했다.<\/p>

권씨의 몬테네그로 변호사 고란 로딕은 소식을 확인해주지 않으면서도 “가능성을 배제할 수 없다”라고 말했다.\n<\/p>

도주 우려<\/strong><\/h2>

\n만약 권도형이 미국에 송환된다면 금융사기, 시세조작 등 8개 혐의를 적용받는다.<\/p>

권씨는 2022년 5월에 붕괴한 테라와 루나 사태와 관련한 증권법 위반 혐의도 받고 있다. 지난해 테라루나 사태로 가상 자산 시장에서 대략 4,000만 달러의 피해가 발생한 것으로 추산된다.<\/p>

2022년 9월에 국내 검찰청은 권씨의 체포 영장을 발부했지만, 어디에서도 그를 찾을 수 없었다.<\/p>

그는 도주하며 유럽, 아시아를 횡단했다. 이어서 세르비아와 두바이에서 잠적했다가 결국 몬테네그로에 도착했다. 이때 미국 증권거래위원회도 사기 혐의로 권도형을 기소했다.<\/p>

권씨와 테라폼스 랩스 CFO 한창준은 위조여권으로 몬테네그로에서 두바이로 이동하는 과정에서 체포되었다.\n<\/p>

\n지난 달 권씨는 공문서 위조 사건에 항소를 신청했지만, 몬테네그로 고등 법원이 이를 기각했다.<\/p>

권 씨는 도주 위험이 있는 것으로 간주되어 포도고리차 근처 스푸즈 구치소<\/a>에 구금되었다.<\/p>

밀로보치는 권씨의 최종 판결 전까지 결정을 공개하지 않을 것으로 알려졌다.<\/p>
