비트코인 친화적 입장으로 유명한 기업 마이크로스트래티지(MicroStrategy)의 주가가 2년 고점 수준까지 올랐다.<\/p>\n

야후 파이낸스 데이터<\/a>에 의하면 지난주 금요일에 마이크로스트래티지 주가가 2021년 12월 이후 처음으로 $500 이상에서 장을 마감했다.<\/p>\n

현재 마이크로스트래티지 시가총액은 75억 5,000만 달러를 자랑한다.<\/p>\n

상당한 수량의 비트코인을 보유하기로 한 마이크로스트래티지의 전략적 결정이 결국 옳은 것이었던 것으로 보인다.<\/p>\n

올해 첫 분기는 손실로 시작했지만 마이크로스트래티지 주가는 한 달 안에 거의 두 배 상승했다.<\/p>\n

비트코인을 보유한 최대 기관 투자자 중 하나인 마이크로스트래티지의 창업자이자 의장인 마이클 세일러(Michael Saylor)는 2020년 8월부터 인플레이션 헷지 수단으로 비트코인을 매집하기 시작했다. 그는 CNBC와의 인터뷰에서 “우리 모두가 앞으로 12개월 동안 상승하리라 믿는 이유는 다음과 같다. 수요는 증가할 것이며 공급은 축소할 것이다. 그리고 이러한 현상은 월스트리트 역사상 선례가 없다.”<\/p>\n

마이크로스트래티지의 자산은 올해 들어 크게 회복했다.<\/p>\n

4월에 비트코인 가격이 3만 달러를 돌파하며 회사가 보유한 비트코인이 손실에서 수익으로 돌아섰다.<\/p>\n

마이크로스트래티지는 추가로 1,045개의 비트코인을 구매해 총 14만 개의 비트코인을 보유하게 되었으며 그 결과 평균 매수가는 2만 9,803달러가 되었다.<\/p>\n

2분기 실적 보고서에서는 비트코인 손상 차손(impairment charge)이 2,400만 달러라고 보고되었지만,  마이크로스트래티지 회사 전체를 놓고 봤을 때에는 수익을 기록했다.<\/p>\n

재무제표 상 가장 많은 비트코인을 보유한 공개 거래 회사인 마이크로스트래티지는 계속해서 비트코인을 추가로 구매해 총 15만 2,800개의 비트코인을 보유하게 되었으며 그 가치는 대략 44억 달러에 달한다.<\/p>\n

흥미롭게도 올해 비트코인 익스포저를 가진 회사의 주가는 비트코인 자산보다 더 높은 성장률을 기록했다. 비트코인은 이미 연초 대비 87% 이상 상승했다.<\/p>\n

마이크로스트래티지는 여전히 비트코인 신봉<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\n11월 초에 공개된 마이크로스트래티지의 최신 분기 보고서는 순손실 1억 4,340만 달러를 기록해 전년동기 2,700만 달러의 손실보다 크게 증가했다.<\/p>\n

그러나 회사는 비트코인 매수 전략을 굳건히 유지하며 추가로 1억 6,700만 달러를 들여 6,067개의 비트코인을 매집했다.<\/p>\n

이제 마이크로스트래티지는 전체 비트코인 유통량의 0.75%를 보유했다.<\/p>\n

마이크로스트래티지 주가가 다가오는 비트코인 반감기<\/a>에서도 큰 수혜를 입을 수 있을 것으로 전망한다.<\/p>\n

비트코인 반감기는 4년 주기로 발생하며 비트코인 프로토콜에 내장되어있다.<\/p>\n

비트코인 반감기란, 채굴자가 거래를 검증하는 대가로 받게 되는 신규 발행 비트코인이 절반으로 감소하는 것을 의미한다. 반감기 메커니즘은 인플레이션을 통제하고 비트코인 유통량을 제한하기 위해 설계되었다.<\/p>\n

반감기는 비트코인의 수요와 공급 구조에 큰 영향을 주며 결국 비트코인 시세에도 반영된다.<\/p>\n

신규 발행 토큰 속도가 감소하면 희소성이 높아지면서 시장에 공급되는 비트코인 수가 감소한다.<\/p>\n

마이크로스트래티지 주가<\/a>와 비트코인 가격은 대략 90%의 상관관계를 보인다. 베렌버그(Berenberg)는 이에 대해 마이크로스트래티지 주가가 비트코인과 함께 랠리할 것이라고 분석했다.<\/p>\n
