서울남부지법에서 가상화폐 거래소 코인원의 전 임직원에게 코인 상장 대가로 뒷돈을 주고 받은 혐의에 대해 실형을 선고했다. <\/span><\/p>

뉴시스 보도<\/span><\/a>에 따르면 한국의 소위 4대 코인 거래소 중 하나인 코인원의 전 상장 총괄이사 전모(41)씨에게 징역 4년 선고가 내려졌다. <\/span><\/p>

법원은 코인원 상장팀장 김(31)씨에게 징역 3년을 선고했다. <\/span><\/p>

법원은 또한 사건과 연루된 코인 “브로커” 두 명에게도 실형을 선고했다. <\/span><\/p>

한 명은 2년 6개월, 다른 한 명은 1년 6개월의 선고가 내려졌다. <\/span><\/p>

이들은 배임 관련 혐의로 기소되었다. <\/span><\/p>

전씨와 김씨에게는 추징금 명령도 내려졌으며 각각 19억 3,600만원과 8억 839만원이다. <\/span><\/p>

이름이 공개되지 않은 알트코인은 시세 조종을 위해 상장되었다. <\/span><\/p>

김씨는 전씨와 ”공모할 의도가 없었다“라고 하며 그의 행위가 시세 조종으로 이어질지 몰랐다고 주장했다. <\/span><\/p>

그러나 판사는 김씨가 코인 상장이 “시세 조종”과 “대량 자전 거래”으로 이어질 것으로 충분히 인식하고 있다고 합리적으로 추론할 수 있다고 반박했다. <\/span><\/p>

김정기 판사는 이에 관해 다음과 같이 말했다:<\/span><\/p>

게다가 전씨가 2020년부터 2022년 사이 코인을 상장해주는 대가로 브로커로부터 가상 자산과 현금을 수수한 증거도 제출했다. <\/span><\/p>

검찰은 비슷한 시기에 김씨도 유사한 대가를 받은 증거를 찾았다. <\/span><\/p>

판사는 판결 당시 “가상자산 거래소 상장 업무는 공공의 영역에 준하는 철저한 감시 관리가 필요하다”고 했다. <\/span><\/p>

코인원 라이벌 <\/span>빗썸<\/span><\/a> 역시 별개의 수사에서 시세 조작 혐의를 받고 있다. <\/span><\/p>

이번 달 초 한국 제2의 도시 부산에서 “부산 디지털자산거래소”를 출범한다는 계획도 발표했다. <\/span><\/p>

부산 디지털자산거래소를 기획 측이 본래 가상 자산을 상장하기를 희망했을 수 있지만 이제는 규모를 축소해 디지털 상품이나 토큰화된 지적 재산권 등을 거래할 계획인 것으로 보인다. <\/span><\/p>
