일론 머스크가 인수한 지 10개월이 지난 지금 <\/span>X<\/span><\/a>(전 트위터)에서는 여전히 암호화폐 스캠이 기승을 부리고 있다. <\/span><\/p>

가장 최근에 유행했던 스캠은 가짜 ‘GBTC’ 토큰 기브어웨이의 형식을 취했다. 사기꾼들은 세계 최대 비트코인 펀드인 그레이스케일 비트코인 트러스트와 연관된 듯 가장해 GBTC 티커를 사용하고 2,500만 달러 상당의 토큰을 지급한다고 홍보했다. <\/span><\/p>

토큰을 수령하기 위해 스캠 게시물은 독자가 그레이스케일 홈페이지와 유사하게 생긴 웹사이트에 방문하도록 유도했다. 이러한 스캠 게시물은 @Grayscale_FND 라는 계정에 게시되었다. 해당 계정은 그레이스케일 공식 계정과 이름과 프로필이 매우 닮았지만, 실제 펀드와 무관하다. <\/span><\/p>

현재 해당 게시물은 포착되어 제거되었지만 그 전까지 1,500개의 좋아요를 받은 것으로 드러났다. 게시물에는 댓글 기능이 차단되었다. 통상적으로 스캐머들은 다른 커뮤니티 회원이 피해자에게 스캠 사실을 경고하는 것을 막기 위해 댓글 창을 닫는다. <\/span><\/p>

새로운 블루 체크로 인한 문제<\/strong><\/h2>

스캠 전략에 기여한 요소로 가짜 계정의 블루 체크마크도 지적되었다. 해당 배지는 X에서 프리미엄 지위를 나타낸다. 머스크가 플랫폼을 인수하기 전에는 블루 체크가 유명 인플루언서, 유명인사, 조직을 가짜 계정과 구분하기 위한 용도로 사용되었다. <\/span><\/p>

그러나 머스크 인수 후 누구나 월 $8를 지불하면 블루 배지를 달 수 있게 되었다. 그 결과 진짜 계정을 완벽히 모방하고자 하는 스캐머들이 대거 등장했다. 머스크는 트위터 인수 당시 온라인 가상화폐 커뮤니티에서 만연한 “스팸 봇을 정복”하겠다고 약속한 바 있다. <\/span><\/p>

아직 공식 계정을 구분할 방법이 하나 남아 있다. 그레이스케일의 공식 계정 @Grayscale은 골드 인증 배지를 가졌다. 이 배지는 공식 기업체만 사용할 수 있으며 프리미엄 배지보다 훨씬 비용이 많이 든다. <\/span><\/p>

그레이스케일은 지난달 SEC를 상대로 승소<\/span><\/a>하며 스캐머 사이에서 인기 주제가 되었다. 승소 이후 GBTC 주가가 기초자산 비트코인에 비해 할인된 비율도 25%에서 17%로 감소했다. <\/span><\/p>
