\nWorldcoinは、世界160ヵ国で1000万人以上のユーザーを獲得している本人確認プロジェクト。<\/p>

Orb（オーブ）と呼ばれる端末で眼球の奥にある虹彩を読み取ることで、World ID（本人情報）の登録ができる。<\/p>

また、World IDを持つユーザーには、暗号資産（仮想通貨）<\/a>WLDが定期的に配布される。<\/p>

同プロジェクト運営会社によると、500万人以上のユーザーがOrbを使用して本人登録が完了しており、毎日200万人以上のアクティブユーザーとなっているそう。<\/p>

ただしイギリス、ケニア、フランスなどいつくかの国は2023年、Worldcoinにおけるプライバシー上の懸念を理由に調査を開始した動きもある。<\/p>

独自のチェーンを作ることで、Worldcoin自体のユーザー体験向上や機能の拡張を狙っていく予定。<\/p>
