Mercoledì la <\/i>Beacon Chain<\/strong>, che introdurrà il proof-of-stake<\/i> (PoS<\/strong>) in Ethereum<\/strong> (ETH)<\/a>, ha subito una riorganizzazione (reorg<\/strong>) di 7<\/strong> blocchi.<\/p>

Un reorg può avvenire tramite un attacco dannoso da parte di un miner con risorse elevate o semplicemente tramite un errore di rete, come un bug, che provoca temporaneamente una versione duplicata di una blockchain e comporta un rischio per la sicurezza potenzialmente di alto livello.<\/p>

Secondo<\/a> i dati di Beacon Scan, il 25 maggio, 7 blocchi dal numero 3.887.075 al numero 3.887.081 sono stati eliminati dalla Beacon Chain<\/i>. Secondo Martin Köppelmann, CEO e co-fondatore del fornitore di servizi di finanza decentralizzata (DeFi<\/a>) Gnosis, il reorg è il più lungo “da anni”, <\/p>

Köppelmann ha osservato che questo “mostra che l’attuale strategia di attestazione dei nodi dovrebbe essere riconsiderata per tradursi, si spera, in una catena più stabile! (le proposte esistono già).” Ciò significa che c’è ancora molto lavoro da fare prima di The Merge<\/a>, che dovrebbe avvenire entro la fine dell’anno.<\/p>

Nel frattempo, alcuni sviluppatori hanno affermato che il problema è dovuto a circostanze piuttosto che a qualcosa di serio, come un problema di sicurezza o un bug.<\/p>

Preston Van Loon, sviluppatore di Core Ethereum, ha ipotizzato che la riorganizzazione sia avvenuta a causa dell ‘”implementazione del fork Proposer Boost”, un termine che si riferisce a un metodo in cui viene data la priorità a specifici proponenti per selezionare il blocco successivo nella blockchain.<\/p>

Un altro sviluppatore di Ethereum, Terence Tsao, ha fatto eco<\/a> a questa ipotesi, suggerendo che la riorganizzazione potrebbe essere stata causata da “nodi potenziati rispetto a quelli non potenziati nella rete e dai tempi di un blocco in arrivo davvero in ritardo”.<\/p>
