Le istituzioni finanziarie e gli investitori tradizionali negli Stati Uniti potrebbero essere in grado di ottenere un’esposizione a ethereum (ETH)<\/u><\/strong><\/a> attraverso un ETF<\/strong> (exchange-traded fund) supportato da futures già nel primo trimestre del 2022, ha stimato un analista di Bloomberg Intelligence<\/i>.<\/p>

Secondo James Seyffart, questo è il momento in cui un ETF supportato da contratti futures ETH regolamentati potrebbe essere approvato dalla US Securities and Exchange Commission<\/i> (SEC).<\/p>

Ha affermato anche che un ETF di bitcoin (BTC)<\/u><\/strong><\/a> spot<\/u> sarà possibile nel 2022. Tuttavia, l’approvazione della SEC potrebbe richiedere più tempo a causa delle preoccupazioni circa la regolamentazione del mercato bitcoin sottostante, riporta<\/u><\/a> Bloomberg.<\/p>

Anche se ampiamente considerato un tipo superiore di ETF nella comunità cripto, la SEC è stata finora riluttante ad approvare un ETF bitcoin spot. Invece, ha optato per gli ETF sostenuti da contratti futures regolamentati scambiati sul Chicago Mercantile Exchange<\/i> (CME), che non contengono alcun BTC effettivo.<\/p>

Interrogato da Bloomberg TV sul suo punto di vista sul potenziale per un ETF di ethereum, Sam Bankman-Fried, co-fondatore e CEO del crypto exchange FTX<\/i>, ha anche detto che non sarebbe sorpreso di vedere un tale ETF approvato.<\/p>

Nel frattempo, martedì è uscita anche la notizia che il fornitore di ETF Direxion <\/i>è stato invitato dal regolatore a ritirare la sua proposta per un ETF inverso sul bitcoin<\/u><\/a> – soprannominato Direxion Bitcoin Strategy Bear ETF – che offrirebbe un’esposizione breve al prezzo di bitcoin.<\/p>

La società si è conformata e ha chiesto<\/u> <\/a>alla SEC di ritirare la sus domanda. <\/p>

Alle 10:40 UTC, ETH è scambiato a 4.593 dollari ed è aumentato del 3% in un giorno e dell’11% in una settimana, mentre BTC è quasi invariato in un giorno, attestandosi a 63.203 dollari. Il prezzo è salito del 4% in una settimana.<\/p>
