Le journal local Economic Times rapporte<\/a> que ce chiffre équivaut à environ 50 à 70 employés sur les quelque 150 employés que compte cette bourse crypto. WazirX a déclaré dans un communiqué que ce mouvement l’aidera à maintenir sa stabilité financière et à continuer à servir ses clients.<\/p>

“L’industrie de la crypto indienne a rencontré des problèmes en ce qui concerne les taxes, les réglementations et l’accès aux banques. Cela a conduit à une chute spectaculaire des volumes dans tous les échanges cryptos indiens… En tant que numéro un des échanges indiens, notre priorité est d’être financièrement stable et de continuer à servir nos clients. Pour y parvenir, nous avons dû réduire notre personnel pour faire face à l’hiver crypto”, peut-on lire dans le communiqué.  <\/p>

WazirX a aussi noté que cette situation n’était pas une première, l’échange ayant traversé l’hiver crypto de 2018. À l’époque, elle avait redoublé d’efforts et avait construit son module pair-à-pair. C’est l’une des raisons pour lesquelles elle est convaincue qu’elle sortira plus forte lorsque le marché deviendra inévitablement haussier.<\/p>

Les employés concernés ont déjà été contactés et seront indemnisés avec environ 45 jours de salaire ainsi que d’autres aides, note l’article. Les licenciements touchent plusieurs départements, notamment le service clientèle et les ressources humaines, où des directeurs, des analystes et des directeurs associés\/chefs d’équipe figurent parmi le personnel licencié.<\/p>

WazirX fait face à d’autres problèmes dans le contexte du marché baissier crypto<\/h2><\/span>

En plus du ralentissement qui touche le marché des cryptomonnaies et de la présence de lois fiscales qui ont mis en difficulté WazirX, l’entreprise fait également face à d’autres problèmes. Le cofondateur de la bourse, Nischal Shetty, s’est engagé dans une bataille en ligne avec le PDG de Binance<\/strong>, Changpeng Zhou<\/a> (également connu sous l’abréviation CZ<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>

CZ a affirmé sur Twitter que Binance n’était pas lié à WazirX comme on le croit généralement, car aucune transaction d’achat n’a jamais été effectuée. Nischal a démenti<\/a> cette affirmation en se référant aux conditions de service de WazirX. Il a également déclaré que Binance était propriétaire du nom de domaine de la bourse, qu’il dispose d’un accès root à ses serveurs AWS et que l’échange était propriétaire de tous ses actifs et bénéfices en cryptomonnaies.  <\/p>

Dans le même temps, la bourse crypto vient également de sortir victorieuse d’un conflit avec le Enforcement Department (ED) – l’agence indienne de lutte contre la criminalité financière – qui a gelé ses comptes pendant plus d’un mois.
