Aujourd’hui, un hard fork a eu lieu sur l’une des principales blockchains, Ethereum Classic (ETC), au bloc 8 772 000 come prévu, mettant en œuvre de nouvelles mises à niveau.<\/p>

Pour rappel, Ethereum Classic a été créé après un hard fork de la blockchain Ethereum originale en 2016. Cette mise à jour nommée Atlantis<\/b>, adopte les mises à niveau des protocoles Byzantium<\/b> et Spurious Dragon<\/b> sur ETC.<\/p>

Cette mise à niveau majeure<\/a> est un moyen d’accroître la fonctionnalité et la stabilité d’ETC, qui avait subi une attaque de 51% en janvier. Un autre objectif est d’accroître l’interopérabilité avec la blockchain Ethereum, afin de promouvoir la collaboration entre les deux blockchains.<\/p>

Avant le hard fork, le site Web officiel d’ETC a exhorté les utilisateurs à mettre à jour leurs nœuds s’ils en utilisaient.<\/p><\/oembed>

Au moment du pixel (15:18 UTC), ETC est en 17ème place par capitalisation boursière et se négocie à environ USD 6,33. La devise est en hausse de près de 1% au cours des dernières 24 heures, mais est en baisse de 9% depuis la semaine dernière, ramenant ses gains mensuels à moins de 9%.<\/p>

Comme Cryptonews.com l’a signalé précédemment<\/a>, ce hard fork fait partie d’une série de mises à niveau à venir, qui incluent également Agharta<\/b> et Atzlán<\/b>. La première pourrait être projetée pour fin 2019 et la seconde pour 2020. Donald McIntyre<\/b>, développeur de l’équipe ETCDEV<\/b>, a déclaré que ces mises à jour sont effectuées «pour rendre ETC compatible avec ETH, afin de minimiser les coûts pour les développeurs qui construisent des applications sur les deux systèmes». <\/p>

Les résultats du fork Atlantis seront examinés lors du sommet ETC, prévu pour le début du mois d’octobre, mais le statut actuel et futur de Ethereum Classic feront également l’objet d’un débat.<\/p>

Pendant ce temps, les échanges tels que Coinbase<\/a>, Poloniex<\/a>, Binance<\/a>, Bittrex<\/a>, Kraken<\/a>, Shapeshift <\/b>et OKEx<\/b> sont mis à jour pour assurer la prise en charge et la compatibilité du hard fork Atlantis.<\/p>
