L’Autorité financière internationale, le Financial Stability Board<\/b> (FSB) a nommé l’un des principaux régulateurs japonais de cryptomonnaie en tant que nouveau président.<\/p>

La FCB a déclaré, selon<\/a> un communiqué officiel, avoir nommé Ryozo Himino<\/b>, vice-ministre des affaires internationales de la Financial Services Agency<\/b>, en tant que nouveau président du Comité permanent de la coopération en matière de surveillance et de réglementation du FSB.<\/p>

Himino remplira un mandat de deux ans et remplacera Norman Chan<\/b>, directeur général de l’Autorité monétaire de Hong Kong<\/b>.<\/p>

Sous la direction de Himino, la FSA a mis en place un ensemble exhaustif de réglementations en matière de cryptomonnaie au Japon et s’est activement employée à faire en sorte que le G20<\/b> adopte des mesures de régulation similaires pour les exchanges et les projets cryptos.<\/p>

Le FSB a précédemment déclaré qu’il ne permettrait pas à Facebook<\/b> de lancer sa crypto Libra<\/b><\/a> sans un “examen minutieux” affirme le média japonais Excite News<\/a>. Himino “dirigera la création d’un cadre réglementaire pour les cryptomonnaies telles que la Libra”.<\/p>

Le FSB contrôle des institutions financières dans 24 pays et juridictions, y compris la plupart des grandes puissances européennes: États-Unis, Brésil, Argentine, Corée du Sud, Japon et Chine.<\/p>

Himino a pris ses fonctions actuelles à la FSA en 2016 et, l’année suivante, a supervisé la mise en place d’un système de licences pour les échanges cryptos.<\/p>

Il est peut-être intéressant de noter que pour Facebook, la FSA a également introduit une loi stipulant que tout jeton considéré comme un stablecoin est exclu de la réglementation au Japon. Au Japon, un certain nombre de hauts responsables politiques et législateurs ont exprimé leur enthousiasme pour Libra, et les avocats du pays ont déclaré qu’ils estimaient probable que la FSA traiterait effectivement la crypto de Facebook comme un stablecoin.<\/p>
