La possibilité d’un scénario “No deal” à la sortie de l’Union européenne du Royaume-Uni en octobre prochain pourrait conduire le Bitcoin à de nouveaux sommets, selon certains acteurs du secteur.<\/p>

Comme beaucoup d’entre eux l’ont déjà constaté, la livre sterling a perdu beaucoup de valeur face à l’euro et au dollar américain, alors que la crainte qu’un Brexit soit négocié n’a pas lieu. Et selon la théorie du Bitcoin comme valeur refuge, l’actif numérique devrait devenir plus attrayant pour les investisseurs à mesure que la valeur de leurs monnaies fiduciaires nationales diminue.<\/p>

S’adressant au journal britannique The Independent, Nicholas Gregory<\/b>, le PDG de la société blockchain CommerceBlock<\/b> a déclaré que “le Bitcoin a retrouvé son mojo cette année” et qu’un scénario de “No deal” pourrait voir une évasion massive et sans précédent” pour le prix du Bitcoin.<\/p>

“Non seulement une sortie sans accord de l’UE créera des turbulences et de la volatilité entre deux grandes monnaies fiduciaires, mais elle déclenchera également une crise d’identité pour le système mondial alors que la contingence et la vulnérabilité des principales monnaies fiduciaires mondiales seront dévoilées, a-t-il ajouté. <\/p>

Cependant, le journal a également rappelé que le Bitcoin n’est pas lié à un pays en particulier, mais dispose d’une “infrastructure décentralisée et sans frontières”. Par conséquent, il est beaucoup moins sensible à ce qui se passe dans un seul pays que ce à quoi on pourrait s’attendre, avec l’exception possible de très grands pays comme la Chine et les États-Unis<\/p>

Un Brexit sans accord a néanmoins des implications importantes, qui vont probablement au-delà des frontières du Royaume-Uni. Et avec l’arrivée du nouveau Premier ministre britannique Boris Johnson<\/b>, un scénario de non-accord est devenu plus probable qu’avant.<\/p>

Selon Gregory, cela pourrait aider à “consolider” le statut du Bitcoin en tant que valeur refuge financier: “À l’horizon 2020, nous prévoyons un monde de plus en plus populiste et politiquement instable pour renforcer le statut de valeur refuge du Bitcoin et d’autres cryptomonnaies en général”, a-t-il déclaré.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
