Le hard fork Atlantis<\/b>, une mise à niveau majeure de la blockchain Ethereum Classic<\/b> (ETC) sera activée en septembre, ont convenu les développeurs lors d’un appel public.<\/p>

Ce sera le premier hard fork d’Ethereum Classic en plus d’un an, et cela intervient après des désaccords sur le moment et la manière dont cela devrait être fait. Lors de l’appel, il a été convenu que le numéro de bloc ciblé pour l’activation du hard fork sera 8.772.000. Cela devrait se produire approximativement le 17 septembre.<\/p>

Dans un article<\/a> Medium<\/i> du journal Ethereum Classic Labs<\/b>, les développeurs ont expliqué qu’ils avaient deux grandes priorités à respecter pour implémenter Atlantis:<\/p>

(1) développer un logiciel blockchain de haute qualité qui préserve la sécurité du réseau;
\n(2) prendre en compte les opinions et les préoccupations de la communauté. <\/p>

Il a également été annoncé que le hard fork Atlantis était entré dans sa phase de test et que l’équipe l’utilisera pour rechercher et corriger les bugs et autres problèmes pouvant survenir du fait de la fusion du nouveau code avec le code de base d’origine. «Grâce à la préparation et à la planification importante de l’équipe de développement», indique le post, «tous les bugs ont été corrigés rapidement et les tests se sont déroulés normalement.»<\/p>

Comme indiqué<\/a>, l’objectif de cette mise à niveau majeure est d’accroître la fonctionnalité et la stabilité d’Ethereum Classic, tout en renforçant l’interopérabilité avec la chaîne de blocs Ethereum (ETH).<\/p>
