Neuf entreprises américaines figurent parmi les 10 premiers acquéreurs de brevets blockchain au monde.<\/p>

Selonl’étude de la société allemande IPlytics<\/b>qui porte<\/a> sur un total de 11 134 brevets blockchain, le géant de la technologie IBM<\/b> est l’entreprise qui arrive en tête en ce qui concerne le volume. La société détient un total de 297 brevets, dont 185 sont des brevets de famille (family patents).<\/p>

De son côté, le développeur Blockchain nChain<\/b>, affilié à l’un des principaux backers de Bitcoin SV, Craig Wright, souvent surnommé Faketoshi, a ouvert la voie en termes de brevets individuels, après en avoir déposé 443. Pour rappel, en mai, Wright avait fait la une des journaux en tentant de protéger le livre blanc du Bitcoin (version 0.1).<\/p>

La seule société non américaine à figurer dans le top 10 d’IPlytics est le britannique British Telecom<\/b> (BT) – un ancien fournisseur de télécommunications appartenant à l’État – qui se classait au 7e rang du classement.

Les autres grandes entreprises figurant dans le top 10 sont Intel<\/b> à la deuxième placeAccenture<\/b>, Visa<\/b>, Mastercard<\/b>, Microsoft<\/b> et la banque MBNA<\/b>.<\/p>

Les chiffres d’IPlytics révèlent également que 4 673 brevets de blockchain ont été déposés en 2018, soit presque trois fois plus que le total de 2017. En avril 2019, 2 354 demandes de brevet avaient déjà été déposées.<\/p>

L’analyse par pays a également révélé que les États-Unis dominaient avec 4 948 demandes, suivies de loin par la Chine, suivies de deux pays européens (l’Allemagne et le Royaume-Uni) et la Corée du Sud en cinquième.<\/p>

En 2017, sur un total de 406 brevets déposés, 225 l’ont été par la Chine, suivie par les États-Unis avec 91 dépôts, selon la Organisation mondiale de la propriété intellectuelle<\/b>.<\/p>
