Pour le faire, les utilisateurs de smartphone doivent ajouter Lite.Im WhatsApp bot<\/a>, après quoi, il leur suffit de suivre les messages qui leur donnent les instructions sur le transfert des cryptos souhaitées. Les utilisateurs peuvent modifier les options, choisir une langue (pour le moment uniquement anglais ou espagnol), définir un mot de passe et définir une crypto par défaut entre quatre options: BTC, LTC, ETH et le jeton natif de la start-up, Zulu Republic Token (ZTX). Les utilisateurs peuvent aussi gagner de la cryptomonnaie via un programme de parrainage.<\/p>

Lite.IM offre déjà des services pour Facebook Messenger, Telegram et les SMS ordinaires. En fait, Zulu Republic a présenté pour la première fois leur plateforme Litecoin Lite.im en août 2018<\/a>. Selon un billet de blog, les utilisateurs de Lite.IM peuvent interagir avec la blockchain de Litecoin via un simple message ou par SMS. En janvier 2019, la société a annoncé que la plateforme permettait désormais les achats de cryptos directement dans Facebook Messenger, Telegram ou par SMS avec une carte de crédit ou de débit.<\/p>

Cette nouvelle arrive alors que Facebook, qui possède WhatsApp, travaille actuellement sur le lancement de sa propre crypto<\/a>.<\/p>

Dans le même temps, des préoccupations en matière de sécurité ont été soulevées, WhatsApp, qui compte 1,6 milliard d’utilisateurs, aurait été piraté il y a quelques jours à peine, comme le rapportait pour la première fois le Financial Times.<\/p>

Selon leur article du 14 mai, l’application de messagerie aurait été piratée par un logiciel espion appelé Pegasus, qui aurait été développé par une société israélienne de cyber-renseignement NSO<\/b> dans le but d’obtenir des informations contenues dans le téléphone d’un avocat britannique spécialisé dans les droits de l’homme. Une fois les téléphone affectés, les logiciels espions peuvent accéder aux données de l’utilisateur et aux informations sensibles, notamment aux appels, aux SMS, aux photos, ainsi qu’au microphone et à la caméra.<\/p>

Facebook a été critiqué pour sa lenteur à réagir à cette violation, son manque de transparence et son incapacité à informer les utilisateurs du problème dès qu’il a été découvert.
