Développé en collaboration avec la Decentralized Identity Foundation<\/i> (DIF<\/b>), la vitesse est augmentée grâce aux améliorations apportées aux systèmes d’identité décentralisée (DID<\/b>). Cela signifie également que ION est un réseau ouvert pouvant être utilisé par toute personne pour créer des DID et, via celui-ci, gérer leur état d’infrastructure à clé publique (PKI<\/b>). ION est conçu pour fournir l’échelle requise pour un monde de DID, tout en héritant et en préservant les attributs de décentralisation présents dans la blockchain Bitcoin. «Notre objectif est de créer un écosystème d’identités décentralisé dans lequel des millions d’organisations, des milliards de personnes et d’innombrables périphériques peuvent interagir en toute sécurité via un système interopérable basé sur des composants standards et open source», a déclaré Daniel Buchner<\/b>, responsable de programme principal chez Microsoft Identity Division<\/b>.<\/p>

Cela concerne les fans de la crypto à plusieurs niveaux: une plus grande rapidité des transactions, mais aussi une plus grande confidentialité et sécurité. Même les plus fortes chaînes de blocs ne peuvent pas fonctionner au volume requis par les DID, et Microsoft déclare qu’ils travailleront «avec divers membres des communautés d’identités et de communautés de chaînes de blocs pour répondre aux besoins en performances et en évolutivité des systèmes DID, tout en conservant les propriétés décentralisation et d’auto-appropriation qui les différencient des technologies d’identité existantes».<\/p>
